Lotus root was planted in Bude Town in 1990s. At that time, the lotus roots planted by villagers were mainly fresh roots, mainly distributed around Xinhua Reservoir, and then gradually expanded downward. Due to the superior growth environment, the root lotus in Bude Town can be harvested in two seasons on the eve of Spring Festival and National Day, with good economic benefits.

Roots and lotus roots are mainly long rhizomes, and basically do not bloom very much. Occasionally, one or two flowers will be pinched off by villagers for fear that the quality of lotus root will be affected. Therefore, root lotus root has no ornamental value.

During my work in Bude, rural tourism rose. In order to develop rural tourism, the town began to guide villagers to plant lotus roots to attract people from the city to visit.

In order to broaden my horizons, I once took more than 10 township and village cadres to study in Puzhehei, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Later, the vice mayor of science and technology was sent to take several village cadres to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to bring back some lotus root varieties and distribute them to villagers for trial planting. That is, from then on, Bude Town had a kind of ornamental lotus root.

Lotus root planting tourism began to flourish.

Lotus root was planted on a large scale in Bude Town in recent years. Using the project funds allocated by the superior, the town sorted out the uneven land, turned it into a concentrated lotus root field, expanded the lotus root planting area, built new ornamental roads and set up signs to guide tourists. These measures make it safer and more convenient for tourists to watch lotus flowers. Slowly, the lotus in Bude Town gradually gained a certain popularity and became the punching place of local online celebrity. Every year when the lotus is in full bloom, there will always be people who love flowers to watch it. Rural tourism with the theme of viewing lotus flowers is on the rise.

Lotus leaves are green, layered and crowded, covering the whole lotus field. The stems are tall and straight, supporting the huge lotus leaves and opening to the sky. This lotus is in its early flowering stage. One by one, the flower bones emerge from the ground, grow upward and extend, trying to break through the cover of layers of lotus leaves and show their heads on them. In the sunny and warm wind, sharp flower bones bloom one after another, spreading petals like the smiling face of a girl in the spring breeze.

Lotus is pink in color, which is the most beautiful. From the tip of the petal to the root, the color gradually changes from white to red, and to the root of the petal, it is almost very strong pink. The whole lotus looks fresh and elegant, very beautiful! Besides pink, there are golden yellow and pure white lotus flowers here, which also look beautiful.

As soon as I approached the lotus field, my friends were immediately attracted. Everyone took out their own "guys" and shot wildly. Network celebrities put on various postures in the lotus field, which set each other off with the lotus. The photographer's professional camera is very busy. It was taken with a wide-angle lens and also with a "fisheye". Some were taken from above, some from below. Different angles and ways, all the pictures are graceful and graceful charm of lotus.

This large lotus field is at least four or five times the area under the bridge. Personally, I don't think the flowers grow well under the bridge, and the flowers don't bloom as much as those under the bridge. However, there are still many people watching the filming of this blockbuster.

Besides taking pictures, I also recorded several videos. The last two months are the flowering period of lotus root. If you miss this season, you will have to wait until next year to see the lotus.
