Foshan photography recommends Chancheng people.

The longer I stay in Foshan, the more I like this city.

After spending a week in Chancheng District, kk and I summed up our statement on the bus to Shunde-the climate, diet and historical and cultural sites here are somewhat low-key similar to Quanzhou.

Quanzhou was once the largest port in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, while Foshan was the first of the "Four Towns in the World" (Foshan Town, Hankou Town, Jingdezhen Town and Zhuxian Town) in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is famous for smelting iron and making pottery. As a port city, it was also an important trading city in ancient times.

Economically, Quanzhou's GDP ranks first in the province, followed by Guangdong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The latest data leads the four cities in the first quarter of 2022.

Like many well-known brands in Quanzhou, Foshan enterprises are famous, such as Country Garden, Midea, Hisense, FAW and Haitian. ...

In the world, 25% of rice cookers, 33% of range hoods, 43% of water heaters and 48% of microwave ovens are all produced in Foshan, which is known as the "home appliance capital".

Foshan is really submerged by Guangzhou and Shenzhen. At least for tourism, few people come here to travel specifically.

I don't know if I am familiar with it. A long history has given birth to Foshan's unique Lingnan culture.

Cultural relics, ancient dwellings and historical blocks all over the old city of Chancheng have surprised foreign tourists.

Walking in historical and cultural blocks, you can always meet many old streets and alleys.

Many red brick walls and old houses were left over from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Although some of them are empty and dilapidated, they have not been demolished and are covered with fake antiques like other cities.

Since 20 19, the Foshan Municipal Government has reconstructed eight historical and cultural blocks in Chancheng District, including Pinzi Street, Liangyuan, Lianhua South, Ren Wei, Ancestral Temple-Li Donghua, Xin 'an Street, Nanfeng Guzao and Huoshi Grand Ancestral Hall. In the way of repairing the old, most of them retain the original appearance. Now, this huge project is a success.

The sunshine is just right, penetrating the lush phoenix tree in the corner of the lane, forming a mottled shadow. An old man sat in a wheelchair and basked in the sun, enjoying the warm sunshine quietly. At this moment, time seems to have returned to the past.

Narrow alleys extending in all directions, in this small city of Foshan, are as long as capillaries, which is very suitable for foot measurement.

For me, this is the most attractive place in Foshan.

You don't need to do anything to visit Foshan. Foshan Tourism Bureau gave the official "Tour Map of Tourism and Cultural Routes". Just follow the map.

Starting from Tapo, it passes through six historical and cultural blocks and ends in Zhongshan Park. Take a quick look at the flowers and browse the essence of Foshan Chancheng Old Town in one day. Personally strongly recommended.

Of course, the best way is not to worry, and spend a few days walking slowly, which is another taste.

As a starting point, Tabo has some symbolic meanings. There are buddhas in Foshan, pun intended.

In the second year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (628), villagers built houses in Tapogang and occasionally dug up three bronze Buddha statues. People call Tapogang the mountain of Buddhists, and donate money to rebuild Tapo Temple, where the Buddha statue is enshrined, and a stone table is erected with the word "Foshan" engraved on it. Foshan got its name from this.

Tapo Ancient Temple, after renovation, slowly restored its original glory and re-displayed the flower-and-bird murals. Unfortunately, the epidemic is not public and there is no chance to see it internally.

"Without Foshan, there is Tapo first". Tapo Street at the beginning of Foshan, a blessed neighborhood, has now become a characteristic tourist attraction.

Starting from Tapo Ancient Temple, walk up to 100 meters, and you will find the Hongsheng Memorial Hall, which was originally built in the first year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty.

As we all know, Foshan is the main birthplace of China Nanpai Wushu. The exhibition hall is not large, so briefly introduce the development of Hongshengge 150 years. Unexpectedly, Cai Lifo Boxing is still one of the most popular boxing styles in the world, and it is quite influential in the international martial arts community.

Next door is a small park in the middle of the street, surrounded by high-rise residential buildings. Walking in it, there is a wonderful feeling.

Go west along Tapo Street, cross Funing Road, and Xin 'an Street is just across the road.

Unlike the crowded Lingnan Tiandi business district, Xin 'an Street is quiet and peaceful, with occasional pedestrians passing by.

Not far away, I saw a colorful bell-shaped sealed volcanic wall in the shape of begonia, a typical Lingnan architectural style. This building used to be an ancient temple in lord protector with a history of more than 400 years.

The temple was built in the Ming Dynasty, and it was repaired and expanded many times in the Qing Dynasty. There are some ancient monuments, such as the mountain gate, the Champs Elysé es and the front hall. On the beam frame of the eaves gallery, you can see colorful reliefs, creating a rich and luxurious scene.

It used to be a nail shop's Journey to the West Club, an industry club of Foshan iron speculation shops, the only existing ancient handicraft master temple in Foshan, and an important witness to the development of Foshan iron smelting industry.

Today, the ancient temple in lord protector has been transformed into Foshan Metallurgical History Exhibition Hall, which shows the rise and fall of Foshan metallurgical industry in the past 500 years through objects and pictures. Walking into the ancient temple to protect the country is like stepping into Foshan's long history of smelting and casting.

Mr. Luo Yixing wrote in "Iron Capital of the Empire"-Foshan was born of iron, gathered by iron, and dominated the world in the name of iron capital. "A large part of the residents are engaged in smelting iron", and the grand occasion at that time can be seen in A Qing Mei Xuanshu's Fenjiang Zhi Zhu Ci:

The mud pier next to the ancestral hall is an abandoned cast iron clay model, and there are still sites.

Foshan became the iron capital of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and even "Foshan smelted all over the world", and wide pots and other ironware sold well at home and abroad.

Go from east to west at Xin 'an Street, and you will reach yabang Street where it meets.

On yabang Street, there is a Hongshengzu Hall, which is the oldest existing private martial arts school in Foshan. It was founded by Zhang Yan (word Hongsheng), a famous boxer of Cai Lifo, in the first year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (185 1).

There is nothing left in the original site, and the new museum is on Tapo Street mentioned above. The former residence of Chen Sheng, the first disciple of Zhang Yan, is not far away.

Opposite the Hongshengzu Pavilion, there is an antique-looking courtyard. Walking into the yard on the second floor, the bauhinia flowers interwoven with two tree crowns have just bloomed and the fragrance is overflowing.

Only after reading the sign did I know that this was the former site of Jiefang School, which was a large-scale private school in Foshan during the Republic of China. The school building is dilapidated, but it overlooks the quaint street scene with red bricks and blue tiles on the second floor.

Walking freely in this old street and alley, there are always unexpected surprises, which is a great pleasure of traveling. Look at the old trees with roofs in this narrow alley, accompanying the old houses, just like lovers, and so on.

The century-old wells and trees in Shengyuan Street, creative shops, romantic shops, rummaging theatres and pubs in Tongxin Lane are like a small 798 art district.

Yinggang in Ming Dynasty is the highest place in Foshan town, overlooking it (one of the eight scenic spots in Foshan in Ming Dynasty is "Yinggang Overlooking"). There are still people living in the old house, full of fireworks.

In Gu Xiang, where Yinggang community criss-crosses, there are many blue brick monuments and ancient red brick houses. Walking among them, there is a feeling of time travel, like breaking into the "Peach Blossom Garden" in the bustling downtown area.

The soul of a city remains in its old buildings. For local residents, this is normal, but for travelers like us, this is a new thing.

Not far from Xin 'an Street, it is a historical and cultural block with the densest cultural relics, the largest scale and the most complete preservation of traditional features in Li Donghua block of Foshan-Zumiao.

Located in the middle of the old city of Chancheng, Li Donghua, the ancestral temple is undoubtedly the most representative of the eight historical and cultural blocks in Foshan.

As early as the Qing Dynasty, Li Donghua was called "the first street in Lingnan". It has always been a place where rich officials and businessmen live, so both architectural forms and interior decoration are extremely elegant. Fortunately, many buildings are well preserved. Let's take a quick look.

Now Donghua has a more modern name-Lingnan Tiandi, which is the landmark and business card of Foshan.

On the premise of protecting cultural relics, it will inject modern fashion atmosphere, which will make Li Donghua glow with new vitality.

Walking in the Lingnan world, history and modernity are constantly flashing.

Xicha, izakaya, R Us Entertainment City, Cat Cafe, Bookstore, Jane's Villa, Longtang Poetry Club, Wedding Room and Confucius Temple are interspersed among them without any sense of disobedience.

It is also a rare experience to enjoy ancient buildings while shopping, eating and relaxing.

More importantly, various thematic exhibitions are held here from time to time, which is the favorite of Wen Qing and Xiao Qingxin, and also the favorite of online celebrities.

You can choose milk tea, coffee and beer when you are tired. When you are hungry, there are delicious food and attractive snacks from all over the world.

When we were in Foshan, just before the Spring Festival, the whole Lingnan Tiandi block was decorated with festive atmosphere. Lantern decorations are everywhere, red lanterns are hung high, and the Spring Festival market is quite lively.

The most beautiful thing is the night view. At the beginning of Deng Hua, under the neon lights, the cool combination of ancient buildings and modern light and shadow perfectly interpreted a new Foshan.

A bit like Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong, it is a must-see place for young people's nightlife in Foshan.

After visiting Lingnan Tiandi, there is another place nearby-the ancestral temple, where "you came to Foshan for nothing".
