Master Shi's photography experience

On the road of photography, Mr. Shi achieved three consecutive "Art" Awards in China (200 1, 2004, 2007). The works of the three "Golden Awards" are: the fifth "Flowers Are Not Flowers" series; The sixth series of Bamboo Shadows in the Wind; The seventh "scenery outside the window" series. So, how did the master develop his photography?

In 2006, when he was interviewed by Chen Fu, a reporter from the Straits Photography Times, he talked about his own photography experience (from the reporter's original text):

The first time I saw Shi's photographic works, my eyesight went blind at once, and I couldn't tell whether it was film or painting. Later, I learned that this is the characteristic of Shi's innovative technique "Danqing Huiru" in photography creation. Its technique has changed the traditional photography mode, using multiple exposures of the same negative to complete the creative intention and ideological expression, so that the connotation and artistic feeling of the work complement each other, thus generously achieving the unparalleled artistic style of the creator. In this artistic style, Shi won the highest honor that photographers dream of with his unremitting creation and innovative consciousness of self-breakthrough.

Shi Cong 1998 started his photography creation. Only three years later, he won the fifth highest award "Golden Award" in China photography circle with the series "Flowers Are Not Flowers", and he scored twice in 2004, shaking hands with the sixth "Golden Award" with the series "Bamboo Shadows in the Breeze". Then, we can't help asking, how did Shi's "Blessing" come about? In this regard, Shi's answer, I think the shock in the hearts of many photographers is the most incredible but too unusual.

History first affirmed that "no pains, no gains". As a photographer, there are no "lazy people" except diligence and persistence. Without thinkers, photography creation is impossible. He said that in a nutshell, it is "four more", that is, "see more, learn more, think more and practice more." When I say read more, I mean read more pictures. See more excellent photography works at home and abroad, including some art works. Read more books, your mind will be enlightened, your vision will be broadened, and you will not be at a loss when you create; The so-called learning more means learning more about the strengths of other people's works. In the face of excellent works, we should consciously study the consumption, composition and creativity of the works and improve our shooting art; By thinking more, we mean imagining more. Shi quoted Mr. Aestheticist as saying: "Without imagination, there is no creation, without imagination, there is no artistic appreciation." It is hard for a person who lacks imagination to imagine that he can create good works; The so-called practice is to make more movies. Be proficient in the photographic equipment in your hand, create according to local conditions, and don't "follow the trend". In creative practice, we should always keep a normal mind, abandon impetuousness, and find beautiful elements from ordinary things with a unique perspective.

Later, when talking about his work "Breeze", Shi said: "Breeze is the theme I decided after nearly a year's conception. After nearly a month's observation and thinking, I decided on the shooting plan. It took more than a year before and after completing it, which gave me new elements in my original creative style. I feel that only by continuous breakthrough will the vitality of the work last forever. "
