How to take a perfect group photo?

Outdoor group photos also have certain requirements in shooting.

(1) Work order Work order is the order of a series of preparatory work before shooting.

1. Know the number of people and the arrangement conditions. We need to know how many people are actually filming and estimate how many stools and tables are needed.

2. Lighting, scene selection and character arrangement. That is, after the number of people is determined, first look at the light, then choose the scenery, and then prepare for the ranking.

(2) The focal length of the lens and the focal length of the image lens are combined into one, and it is appropriate to extend the focal length by one level with the standard lens for shooting negatives. This is mainly to avoid the size difference between the front and back images in perspective. If you want to take a distant and tall scenic spot into the picture, but you can't get close to it, you should also appropriately lengthen the focal length of the lens and "pull" it into the picture. It can't be shorter than the standard (for example, 8-inch photo 2 10 mm lens, 12-inch photo 300 mm lens), so that even if all photos can be taken, the sizes of the front and rear rows of images will be obviously different, and the heads of people on both sides will be deformed.

(3) The position of the camera is combined with the image. Whether the position of the camera is accurate often plays a key role in characterization, picture balance and visual sense.

1. Height. The camera height for group photo should be about 1.60m as the reference height. Because the photos taken at this height are in line with people's visual habits. Even if there are multiple rows of levels, there is no need to raise the camera to avoid the phenomenon that the horizon rises and the photos are not suitable for people's visual habits. On the contrary, the number of lines is not high, but the camera position can be lowered appropriately.

2. Horizontal degree. The camera position of the group photo should be centered. If there is a deviation, the size of the left and right images will be different and the horizon will not be straight.

3. The horizon (optical axis) of the lens. The optical axis of the lens should be straight, not tilted or inclined, and the camera should be flat to avoid image tilt and deformation. If the number of lines is too high and the characters are at the bottom of the picture, the method of raising the front seat of the lens should be applied. If raising the lens is not enough, you can tilt the front and rear seats of the camera forward, and then tilt the camera backward until the lens is straight. In this way, although the camera is tilted, the optical axis is still straight, which can achieve the effect of no deformation. If you want to take a large group photo with high rows, it is easy to produce the deformation phenomenon that the vertical line inclines inward, unless you use a medium telephoto lens.

(4) The subject looks at the group and combines the images. No matter how many people there are, all the subjects look at the camera in the same way, but they can also be slightly higher or slightly biased towards the camera. In short, the photographer sets a target (usually by hand or finger) as the viewpoint, so that all the subjects can see the target, and there can be no multiple viewpoint targets of high, medium and low.
