The largest flea market in Beijing

The biggest flea market in Beijing is Panjiayuan flea market.

Panjiayuan flea market, located in the southwest of Panjiayuan Bridge in the southeast third ring road of Beijing, is a genuine flea market, where many "antiques" are gathered. It has six business areas, namely, ancient building area, classical furniture area, modern collection area, stone carving area and catering service, with a total area of 48,500 square meters.

In Panjiayuan flea market, all kinds of antiques are displayed in shops or stalls, but don't look at the appearance. You may not be able to afford any of them if you empty your wallet.

There is an old saying in Beijing: "Panjiayuan can't escape, but Liulichang can't." If you want to find a place to find two old things when you come to Beijing, you must leave Panjiayuan and Liulichang. As for the difference between them, Liulichang has the atmosphere of "cultural street" and Panjiayuan has the atmosphere of "street", which attracts a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists with the legend of "ghost market" and the legend of disappearance.

However, many tour guides now advise foreigners not to go to this flea market, and even if they do, don't buy things easily, because they will be "pitted" if they are not careful. Over time, there are many fakes in Panjiayuan flea market, and people who don't know what to do can't see them at all. The price is so high that it hurts when something really happens.

Moreover, there are some unwritten rules here, that is, if a merchant is found to have fake goods for sale, it is not allowed to point them out in person, otherwise the consequences are unpredictable, so it is good to know clearly in your heart and not to disturb others.
