How to take pictures when the sun is strong?

Generally speaking, in the case of strong sunshine, the photos taken will be brighter, but of course they will be too hard and not soft enough.

In strong sunlight, it's not a problem to take scenery photos, but when taking people, you must avoid the top light (noon light), otherwise the photos of people will be ugly. In addition, it should be noted that the light intensity between the characters and the background should not be too different. It is common that when the background is dark, photos taken by people in strong sunlight will appear white (overexposed) and lack a sense of hierarchy. Sometimes, when the sun is strong, you can simply hide out of the sunlight, but you can take beautiful photos. This is because in this weather condition, the light in the shade is still very bright, and the light is softer because of diffuse reflection. This is very helpful to show the details of the characters.

Due to the limitation of technology, the light resistance of digital cameras and digital photos is not as good as that of film photography. Overexposed photos can't be repaired satisfactorily even with image processing software later, because some people prefer to be underexposed in strong sunlight and never overexposed.
