1971February 10, Larry bruns's helicopter crashed in Laos. As one of more than 130 photojournalists who died in the Vietnam War, bruns was one of the journalists who covered the Vietnam War for the longest time. From the outbreak of the Vietnam War in 1962 to the death of a helicopter crash in 197 1, he never left Vietnam. In the interview, bruns didn't like this way of getting along. He often makes a detailed plan before an interview, and then goes to the area where he thinks it is sensitive and news may happen. Compared with the usual hasty battlefield interviews and rough photos, bruns's excellent shooting has always been praised by photographers who have interviewed the Vietnam War. In order to take satisfactory photos, he will risk his life to go to the selected location many times, or take photos on a helicopter for several days in a row. Bruns was also one of the best photographers who took color photos during the Vietnam War. Most of the photographers who interviewed the Vietnam War with him took black and white photos. Burroughs has worked as a darkroom teacher in the London branch of Life magazine for many years and has rich experience in film processing. Therefore, his color photos are better than his colleagues, and he has a stronger sense of battlefield. All these make bruns's photos have a more distinctive personal style, which is not only loved by Life magazine, but also widely welcomed by European magazines. Now, it is more completely reflected in this newly published collection of works.
