Zhashui Karst Cave

The tour of Fenghuang Ancient City ended hastily, so we walked northwest along the provincial road S307, arrived at the provincial road S 102, turned left and headed south until we reached the Zhashui Cave.

A few years ago, my classmates and I climbed a mountain in Qinling, from about 40 meters to more than 700 meters above sea level. So the elevator in front of us is estimated to be 20 floors at most, and it is affordable to walk up the mountain. Besides, isn't it more interesting to go up the mountain like this? So, we only bought tickets for the visit.

First, we went up to the ticket gate along the steps of the main entrance of the cave. Roughly speaking, there are fifty steps up and down these steps. Halfway through, I always felt that my body was leaning back, my spine was cold, and I was a little scared. I just hinted at myself. It was nothing at first, because I didn't climb the handrail, and the ramp formed by the steps was steep, and then it was much better. These are my feelings, especially for my child and her grandmother.

After the ticket inspection, we officially started today's cave trip. It's hot and crowded in the sun. Fortunately, next to the steps of the mountain, shrubs are lush and grass is lush. The sunshine just comes in one by one, and the fresh air is mixed with the smell of vegetation, which is still very comfortable. The five of us climbed the stairs with other tourists, either holding the iron rope on the right hand side or leaning against the abrupt rock wall on the left hand side.

Finally, we reached the hole. Because of the cold wind blowing at the mouth of the cave, it was very hot when we climbed the mountain, so we had a rest at the mouth of the cave and took some photos with cave stone carvings as the background in turn. After that, I dragged the eager child through the narrow hole. Wow! As if stepping into a brand-new and mysterious world, stalagmites wander, blue and purple light cross-transition, bizarre. With the deepening of the cave, many clusters of rugged stalagmites have their own shapes, which are vivid and interesting. The surface of stalagmites looks like jade. Fingers touch stalagmites, moist but not moist. The child is curious and wants to feel around. I told her that stalagmites are covered with a layer of water film, which comes from groundwater deep underground. In order not to let her ask me endlessly, I had to promise to go home and do capillary experiments for her, and then I stopped. The deeper we go into the cave, the more dense and strange the landscape of stalagmite structure becomes, especially when we walk into the largest cave hall, we are shocked by this fantastic stalagmite structure and extraordinary grand space. Stalagmite clusters at the top hang down along the dome in rows with different parameters, and some bamboo shoots even hang down to the ground as straight as Optimus Prime. Under the blue-violet light projection, the water film on the surface scatters the glass-like texture and light, showing off its uniqueness like a rock crystal chandelier. It seems that this is the main landscape of Zhashui Cave. Since I'm here, I don't hesitate to ask the resident photographer to take some photos with the dome as a souvenir.

After that, our group strolled forward again and passed through a long tunnel with an artificial axe file before we reached a cave. A small clearing was dug outside the cave for tourists to rest and hold the railing. At first glance, the mountains are green, and people can't help but admire the power of nature. Looking down, people who are afraid of heights will faint and return to their eyes. It's really a cliff, and the sense of diving is very strong, which is really heartbreaking.

As the saying goes, going up the mountain is easier than going down. With the excitement of playing in the cave, everyone is talking, watching, taking selfies and going down the mountain. They are already out of the mountain gate and have no taste of going down the mountain. This short trip is over. From everyone's bright smiles, I think everyone should have a good time and be more satisfied. Well, I won't say much. As for the way home, leave it to Xizhou Expressway.
