1986, Wang Hengli took photos of the film Sun Yat-sen (Up and Down), which is an epic film. Wang Hengli mobilized various photographic means, created the atmosphere of the times, and played a creative role in the dignified and magnificent epic style of the film. After the film was released, it caused a sensation in China. Won the excellent film awards of 1986 and 1987 of the Ministry of Radio and Television, the best feature film award of the 10th Hundred Flowers Award Popular Film, and the best feature film award of the 7th China Film Golden Rooster Award. Wang Hengli also won the Golden Rooster Award for Best Photography.
