The 4th National Art Exhibition for Primary and Secondary School Students was sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Xiamen Municipal Government. There are 60 paintings, 25 photographs, and 5 calligraphy works/kloc-0, all selected from the winning works of the previous three national art exhibitions for primary and secondary school students. It is divided into four chapters: Sunshine Youth, Vision of Discovery, Humanistic Home and Imagined Sky.

Art exhibition works are not selected by the first prize, but by a considerable number of second and third prize works instead of the first prize works. These works either observe life, capture materials, or record the life around them, or express their inner imagination with the unique aesthetic vision of teenagers, and their expressions are eclectic, showing the artistic talent and creative ability of primary and secondary school students all over the country.
