Hao Wen's introduction

Gottfried Helnwein (1948 1918, born in Vienna) is an Austrian-Irish mixed-race, whose artistic fields cover painting, photography and stage performances. When Hao Wen was a student at the Vienna University of Visual Arts, he won the first place in the highest class in the school, as well as honorary awards such as Cardinal Koenig Award and Theodore korner Award. His early works were mainly surreal watercolors depicting injured children, and he often performed with children on the public stage. He is a conceptual artist, and his works focus on presenting mental and social anxiety, as well as historical and political topics. His works are regarded as inflammatory and controversial. He dabbled in a wide range of artistic fields, from painting, sketching, photography, murals, sculpture to theatrical performances, and widely used various technologies and media tools. In addition to art, his theatrical stage, costume design, ballet and opera production are also highly appreciated and affirmed by Hamburg National Opera House, Berlin Opera House and Los Angeles Opera House.
