How to shoot a beautiful surreal portrait in the rain?
Eos 5d mark iii/ef24-70mm f/2.8l ii USM/fl: 41mm/manual exposure (f/2.8,115s)/iso.

The use of two off-board flash lamps with slow synchronous flash technology brightens the raindrops and creates a surreal atmosphere, which makes the model seem to be bathed in sacred light.
Prepare equipment
-Two flashlights. -Remote control cable
-Reflector/reflection soft box
Shooting steps
1. Set the location of the model;
2. Determine the exposure setting suitable for shooting without flash at night;
3. Install a flash lamp on the back of the model, one of which is placed obliquely in front of the model;
The following are the operation details of each step.
Step 1: Imagine the image you will take, and then choose the position for the model.
Details such as background and road reflection may affect your portrait image, so pay great attention to these details when preparing for shooting.
For photos, I noticed that the light plates arranged in the background are getting smaller and smaller in descending order, and they are in balance with the color of light, so I composed the image so that there is some space on the left when I look at it from the front.
Step 2: Expose the background light
The light emitted by the flash usually directly illuminates the background, so find an exposure setting. Even if there is no flash, the background can be lit normally, which can ensure that the night scene in the background is still beautiful, which also determines the overall brightness of the image.
Tip: For all slow shutter photos, using a tripod can help reduce camera shake.
Step 3: Install an external flash on the back of the model and an external flash on the left side of the model.
Finally, set the flash and adjust the output of the flash, and use an external flash, which requires a wireless controller. A flash lamp is placed behind the model to illuminate raindrops, and the light shines directly on the model.
The other flash is tilted in front of the model to illuminate the model from the front. I installed a reflective flash reflector on the flash to diffuse the light and prevent the flash from being too dazzling. You can also try using different light sources (such as light emitting diodes)
Flashlight) adds light to the background of the model, but the result will look slightly different. For example, static lighting can make raindrops look like light tracks because flashlights prevent raindrops from moving. You can also try to change the position of the model or camera. You need to change the position of the flash and adjust the output of the flash again.
Tip: Use rain gear to protect your photographic equipment from the rain, and collect everything as soon as possible to avoid getting wet.
