Your portrait is not brilliant, but it lacks the light of the eyes.

The eyes are the windows to the soul, through which we can see a person's thoughts and character. Eyes can convey a lot of information such as this person's mood and state at the moment. ?

In photography, eyes are also the focus that we must pay attention to. ?

On the one hand, we should guide the subject, so that the subject has a happy mood and presents a relaxed state of mind; ?

On the other hand, try to add eye light to the subject's eyes.

So, what is vision?

The so-called vision is a tiny white spot reflected on the subject's eyeball when shooting. Vision can make people's eyes more vivid, portray people's demeanor, and is an important finishing touch when shooting portraits. If you don't have a vision, the eyes of the characters are a dead black, without any expression and three-dimensional sense, and the eyes will be very empty. ?

Various eye lights have different effects. If the eye lamp is small, clear and bright, it can express a person's happy, happy and cheerful manner. If the eyes have a wide range of light, they will appear very soft.

How to add eyes to the character's eyes?

If you shoot in a shed, you can try to keep the subject in the window position and shoot in the light, so that natural light can shine on the eyes of the characters through the window to form a vision, which should be higher and cross the shoulders of the characters. If it is a backlight, we can also use our photographic lamp to illuminate the eye part of a person's face to produce eye light. ?

If your light distribution method is that the direction of the photographic lamp is not the direction of the human face, we can use the light of the light supplement rod and flashlight to supplement some light on the human face in the positive direction to produce eye light. If you want to be natural and soft, you can also put a vertical reflector in front of people and adjust the angle so that the light from the opposite camera lamp shines on the reflector and refracts to people's faces.

If we shoot outdoors, and the natural light is abundant, we can make full use of the elegance of nature, instead of using artificial light, and only use the external reflector, but we should pay attention to adjusting the angle of our reflector and lowering it, so that the refracted light just falls on the position of people's eyes and produces eye light. ?

Of course, when the outdoor light is insufficient, we need to use an external flash. It should be noted that the direction of light irradiation is the reflector instead of directly illuminating the model, which will destroy all your shooting.

"SLR destroys life and photography is poor for three generations", which is a joke in the photography circle, but it also reflects the high cost of photography. If you don't have enough budget to buy some accessories, or forget to bring other accessories, and only have a camera in your hand, how can you give the model an eye? ?

The answer is the built-in flash, but because the built-in flash can't adjust its power, position and direction, we need to try again and again, including camera parameters, our position and the distance from the subject. Even if our direction and parameters are all right, we are too far away from the subject, and the light can't shine on the subject's eyes, so we can't add eyes. If we get too close, our eyes are light, but they are stiff. We can try to cover our built-in flash with a piece of white paper or a transparent plastic bag, which can soften it.

When we finished taking the exported photos, we found that some photos were taken very well, but what should we do without eyes? Use a powerful late stage. ?

Put the photo into Photoshop software, enlarge the photo, make sure that the eye light is in the eye and the foreground color is set to white.

Use the ellipse tool or brush tool to draw eyes. If we use the ellipse tool, we draw a small circle and then adjust the feathering value, opacity and filling degree.

Brush tool and ellipse tool

If we use the brush tool, we will draw a little eye Mitsudeki, then use Gaussian blur effect, finally adjust the opacity and filling degree, and finally reduce the picture to see if the eye light we draw is inconsistent in the whole picture, and then make some adjustments according to the situation.

When shooting, our eyes must be balanced. It is not allowed that one eye has a vision and the other eye has no vision, or that one eye has a particularly bright vision and the other eye has a particularly dark vision. ?

The light of the eyes must move with the movement of the face. When the subject's face rotates, the light of the eyes must also rotate.

As an eye lamp, the power does not need to be too large, but attention should be paid to harmony with the surrounding environment.
