A quick trip - Hulun Buir and the Mohe North Pole

The reason for wanting to travel to a place can be very simple! I once went to Shen Congwen's former residence in Fenghuang Ancient City because of a book "Border Town", and I also went to Hagia Sophia in Harbin because of the work "Cliff" translated by my idol Zhang Jiayi! And this time I started my journey to the north of Hulunbuir Prairie just for my favorite song "Hulunbuir Prairie"!

Because he often hums this song, Mr. Huang said that since he yearns for it so much, he might as well take action immediately! So I started booking tickets, renting cars, and booking hotels. Since July and August are the peak season for grassland tourism, all round-trip tickets have been sold out recently. Get a friend to help and you’ll be done in no time!

I didn’t find out until I picked up the ticket the day before departure that the name of the sleeper berth was someone else’s. We booked a hard-seat ticket from Beijing to Huangcun for 9 yuan. We got on the train and went directly to the sleeper car. Then we arrived at Hailar and then paid for the ticket to Manzhouli. So I got on the bus with an uneasy feeling, consulted the flight attendant, and took the initiative to "confess" that the face of the ticket did not match the name. Unexpectedly, it was already commonplace, and it was said that Hailar could just exchange the ticket and then replenish it. Later, we discovered this in the carriage we were riding in. There are many people in this situation! Is there such an operation? Got it! Is this considered the first risk on the journey?

After the car passed Shanhaiguan, I was lying down and reading a novel comfortably when Mr. Huang suddenly told me that he had forgotten his driver's license. So I urgently contacted my colleagues at the work unit, picked up my driver’s license from the office, and delivered it to the booked hotel at my destination via SF Express! Fortunately, it was a slow train. Maybe I arrived in Manchuria before I even got my driver's license, haha! Is this the second risk?

When the bus arrived at Laohushan Station, Mr. Huang was about to get off the car to smoke. After walking a few steps, he returned and was surprised to say that the lighter was missing. Later, he remembered that he had left it in the bathroom while smoking. I went over and saw that it was indeed on the shelf. I came back excitedly and said: It's so smooth. We can always avert danger when we encounter "dangerous situations"! Is this considered a risk? It’s really dumbfounding.

In fact, this is not the first time I have traveled in a green car! Our preferred mode of transportation when traveling is the sleeper train. Generally, we take the sleeper train from dawn to dusk, which not only wastes time but also saves accommodation costs, and also solves the problem of someone smoking! The ones that took longer were those in Qinghai, Xinjiang and this time. The train swayed along, allowing you to enjoy the scenery of different areas outside the window along the way. It was also a good idea to take a walk on the platform to do some shopping and replenish food during the stop. What a treat!

After 33 hours of bumpy ride, the train finally arrived in Manzhouli at 8pm on the second day! Then check into the Hanting Hotel, get your driver's license, and rest...Are you, like me, full of expectations for the next self-driving trip to the north?

Look, our itinerary is freshly released! The whole journey is about 3,000 kilometers and takes 8 days and 7 nights.

Day 1: Manzhouli - Hulun Lake - Ergun City (300 kilometers)

Hulun Lake is a beautiful sight in the Hulun Buir Grassland, only 40 kilometers away from Manzhouli kilometers of travel. Passing through the hometown of mammoths - Zhalainuoer

About an hour later we arrived at Hulun Lake. Hulun Lake is also known as Dalai Lake. It is a sister lake to Bell Lake. Local herders call it "A lake like the sea"! Standing by the lake, you can see the clear and endless lake water in front of you, and you feel like you are on the seaside of Sanya...

The Dallan Eluomu River opposite Hulun Lake is even more colorful

The blue sky and white clouds at this time

Humming "My beloved, on the horizon, there is a vast prairie on the horizon..." The car was driving on the endless Hulunbuir prairie. The road conditions were good, so I started driving. It’s quite enjoyable to come here

Groups of cattle and sheep wander for food in the blue sky and green grass, and a few horses drink water leisurely by the river

But I prefer the one on the grassland. Clusters of small wild flowers

The 240-kilometer journey from Hulun Lake to Ergun City, we walked and played, and it took almost eight hours to arrive. Fortunately, I happened to see the sunset on the grassland at the top of Heishan Mountain. It is said that this is the best place to watch the sunset

The next day: Ergun City-Genhe-Mangui (350 kilometers)< /p>

The "Ergun Wetland", known as the first wetland in Asia, is only 5 kilometers away from the city and can be reached in a few minutes! However, there is still a long distance between the entrance to the scenic spot and the wetland wooden trestle. We were wiser and took a sightseeing bus instead of walking! It takes about 2 hours to visit the entire scenic spot.

The famous "Horseshoe Bay" is pretty impressive, right?

Now I can finally perform the whole song. "My heart is in the river bend. The Ergun River passes through the prairie. I love you, mother of the prairie. The deep river water has deep wishes." , Hulunbuir Prairie, white clouds are floating in my heart..." Hulunbuir Prairie indeed gave me too many surprises. Not long after setting off from the wetland, I encountered this large sea of ??rapeseed flowers, which is my favorite. That touch of golden color embellishes the vast grassland just right!

Sing all the way and keep heading north! We arrived in Genhe City in about 2 hours. Due to road construction in the city, we turned around several times according to the navigation and did not enter the 324 County Road in Mohe. However, we accidentally ended up only 7 kilometers away from the Genheyuan Wetland. The two of them discussed it. Just take a look around! Unexpectedly, the scenery here is really eye-catching

Genheyuan Wetland, the scenic area covers an area of ??more than 59,000 hectares. You can drive around and the scenic area is a one-way street. Wetlands and forests are intertwined here. In the virgin forest, birch trees and larch trees grow together. The fragrance of flowers under the trees is refreshing. Walk around, take a nap...have a great time!

Then climb along the wooden trestle to the highest viewing platform at 1,500 meters and enjoy the Lenggi Bay. Although it is a bit tiring, it is still worth it to see such a magnificent view!

This is the coldest place in China, more than 50 kilometers away from the urban area of ??Genhe. The lowest temperature has reached minus 58 degrees Celsius! I only found out about it when I happened to be passing by. It’s really cool!

From Genhe to Mangui Town, the 200-kilometer journey took five or six hours. Although this section of the road was all asphalt, the road surface collapsed in many places and was uneven. If it were not for an off-road vehicle, It would be too difficult to drive! We arrived at the hotel at 9:30 in the evening and most of the surrounding restaurants were closed. We solved the problem by getting a bowl of mutton noodle soup per person at a small fast food restaurant. Maybe it was because we were hungry, but we thought it tasted extremely delicious!

The third day: Mangui - Mohe - Beihong Village - Beiji Village (400 kilometers)

Today's attractions are many and scattered. I want to stay in Beihong or Beihong in the evening. Arctic Village, so we got up and had breakfast at eight o'clock, which was the earliest day since we left home. We also replenished some snacks and drinks for the road, and set off from Mangui Town on time at nine o'clock...

The North Star Square in Mohe was covered with clouds and drizzle just now, but in an instant it was clear and clear again

Mohe’s famous scenic spot - the Jiuqu and Eighteen Bends Natural Scenic Area, is the northernmost wetland in China. The Mur River is winding and rugged, a naturally formed original wetland! Because it was a cloudy day, even if we climbed up to the observation deck four or five stories high, we couldn't take pictures of Nagqu Nawan. Add a photo from my full-time photographer to see how dedicated he is to his work!

If you walk along the wooden boardwalk in the Wetland Park, you will reach the edge of the Emur River. The river is crystal clear and accompanied by white birch forests along the way. It is really beautiful!

At this point, if you don’t have special feelings for the birch forest, you can return to Mohe and take the Mobei Highway to reach Arctic Village in more than an hour! Firstly, because there are birch forests everywhere on both sides of the road, and secondly, four-fifths of the road from the birch forest scenic area to Beihong Village is a dirt road, with potholes and water on the road, making it really difficult to walk! There is no need to go to the Birch Forest Scenic Area specifically. I have a complex due to the TV series "Rings of the Year" many years ago. The theme song "Is there Northern Wilderness in the Sky" and the line "My youth is flowing in the tall birch forest" often linger in my ears... Although I didn’t have my youth and love there, and I couldn’t experience the ups and downs of life as an educated youth, that piece of birch forest was an indelible memory in my heart, so I insisted on going there

Walking through the uneven dirt road , finally arrived at Beihong Village at 4pm! Beihong Village is located at 53 degrees 33 minutes north latitude and 123 degrees 17 minutes east longitude. It is a little further north than Beiji Village. It is the northernmost village in the true sense!

The small village is surrounded by mountains to the north and south, and Heilongjiang River passes through the village from west to east. The outpost is right on the river

There is still a 100-kilometer journey from Beihong Village to Beiji Village. Almost the entire journey is on provincial highways and can be reached in more than an hour. I chose a Northeastern restaurant for dinner, which was very economical and affordable. The plate of fried wood fungus with eggs and fried fungus can be eaten as a staple food. I visually saw that there were at least five or six eggs in it!

Day 4: Arctic Village - Tahe - Shiba Station - Huma (480 kilometers)

? Arctic Village, located at 53°33′30″ north latitude , 122°20'27.14" east longitude, is the northernmost village in everyone's impression, and the location of China's "No. 1 Outpost in the North"!

China's "northmost" is everywhere in the village...

Now that you have arrived in Arctic Village, you can't help but search for the north.

The first is the Northernmost House. In fact, there is another house to the north of the house with this sign. According to the locals, it was built later and cannot be counted. The "Northernmost House" has applied for a national patent.
