How to shoot stage photography, and what skills are there to shoot stage photography?

One of the shooting methods of stage performance is to organize shooting specially. The second is to take a snapshot when watching a rehearsal or a formal performance.

The following is about the scene capture in the performance. Although this shooting method is limited by light and angle, and the plot development can't stop, it will bring some inconvenience to shooting, but it can shoot real and natural effects and the unique atmosphere of the scene. If we can take advantage of different angles under the stage and take the back and side of the audience as close-ups of the picture, we can increase the sense of presence.

In order to act well, you'd better be familiar with the plot in advance. The way to understand is to read the text explanation about the plot or listen to the introduction of experts. The second is to watch the rehearsal in advance to understand the order of the performance, the performance characteristics of the actors, the expressions of the people in the play, and the conflicts and development between the characters. If you do this, you won't miss the opportunity to seize the best opportunity when the plot contradictions appear.

Before shooting, you must choose the shooting point. You can measure the shooting distance through the viewfinder of the camera and measure the intensity of the stage light with the exposure meter, so as to choose the aperture and shutter speed.

About lighting for shooting: it is convenient to use flash, but the effect contrast is large and there is no sense of hierarchy. It is better to use stage lighting according to the performance content.

The shooting point should be in the seventh to tenth rows of the audience seat, and it should be slightly to the side. If the position is too positive, it is easy to cause the characters' pictures to overlap and the pictures lack perspective changes.

When shooting a large-scale stage scene, the shooting point should be in the front row seat on the upstairs opposite the stage.

The determination of shooting exposure, if it is to show the conflict between characters, should be based on the brightness of characters' faces. If it is a big scene or an actor dancing, it is necessary to take into account the data between the characters and the background based on the brightness.

The aperture used is usually 5.6 to 8. If it is blurred and highlights the main body, you can also use a large aperture, but the focus must be accurate.

When choosing the shutter speed, the shutter speed should be 1/250 seconds for moving objects with large motion range, close to the subject and fast rhythm, but in order to express the motion, the shutter speed can be appropriately slowed down when shooting local blur. Generally speaking,1125 seconds is enough when the shooting distance is 8- 10 meter. For slow-paced actions, the shutter speed can also be 1/60 seconds or 1/30 seconds.
