Camera setting skills for shooting wonderful night scenes

Lead: The night scene is beautiful. How was it taken? Beautiful light spots are the charm of night images, which create gorgeous visual effects for night images. Let me talk about it in detail.

First of all, we should know that there are three important factors to produce large spots: distance, focal length and aperture.

In other words, the shooting mode of large aperture+long focal length+close to the subject will make the blur effect beautiful and create conditions for fantastic beautiful spots. In addition to high-sensitivity SLR cameras, the recommended lenses are: 50/1.2,50/1.4,50/1.8,85/.

Try to choose a place with bright traffic and lights. For example, choose a place with a very wide view on the bridge and traffic lights and street lights in front. These photos are all colorful and beautiful scenic spots.

1) How to set the camera?

(1) It is recommended to shoot in RAW format. The advantage is that you can correct the problem of inaccurate white balance or get the desired tone later. Of course, for students who are used to shooting with JPG, you can use a gray card or white paper to shoot a picture at 18 degrees and set it as a custom white balance.

(2) Use the maximum aperture or reduce the aperture. For example, when I shoot with a lens of 85 1.2, I usually use an aperture of 1.6, which will achieve a balance between blurred background and sharpness of image quality.

(3) Use M-stop, standard mode or portrait mode, spot or partial metering shutter as the safety shutter of the lens.

2) Use the maximum aperture or reduce the aperture. For example, when I shoot with an 85 1.2 lens, I usually use an aperture of 1.6, so that the background blur and the sharpness of image quality will reach a balanced relationship.

3) Using M-stop, standard mode or portrait mode, the shutter for spot measurement or partial metering is generally within the safe shutter range of the lens.

4) Choose the window of a big shopping mall, and use the light source slowly emitted by the window, which is equivalent to a huge soft box. We should make full use of this ambient light source. If students especially like the charming atmosphere of night scenes, they should try to use ambient light, minimize or weaken the use of flash, or even not use it.

5) Try to choose a place with bright environment, and try to use a camera with high sensitivity to avoid noise, so that the picture looks fresh and clean, and the picture quality is better!

6) Use the maximum aperture or reduce the aperture. For example, when I shoot with an 85 1.2 lens, I usually use an aperture of 1.6, so that the background blur and the sharpness of image quality will reach a balanced relationship.

7) We can also take night portraits as environmental portraits, and use more environmental backgrounds into night portraits to avoid the suspicion that every picture is a big photo.

How to turn on the light? How to fill the light?

8) It depends on personal preference. For example, users can use external light+soft box or single light or left light and right light.

9) Relatively speaking, I personally prefer ambient light, because what I want is a charming atmosphere at night. To maximize the charm of portraits at night, if you just use lights, you might as well shoot them in the studio.

10) However, the ambient light is limited by the site factors and the quality of cameras and lenses. If we have to, we can use LED lights or off-camera flashlights to supplement the light, which is a test for the light ratio control, but it will be OK if we try more.

1 1) My personal experience is that the light ratio should be as small as possible, so don't feel stiff when you hit the model's face. It is best to have a small soft box or cover it with white soft cloth in front of the LED light, and it is best to use a soft umbrella for flashing light.

Personally, I prefer to use the flash in manual mode to lower the index and master the light ratio.

12) The distance between the flash and the main body is more important. If the light ratio is too large, the light will be hard, and highlights such as skin or light-colored clothes will be easily overexposed.

Be sure to choose the right distance and adjust the number of shots according to the environment. If you don't have a soft umbrella and soft box, you can use a flash to fill the light with the corner or reflection.

13) In addition, personally, it is not difficult to shoot a clear portrait and a beautiful big spot at night.

On this basis, give your own works more connotation, creativity and originality. Shoot more theme films with stories and emotions.
