When taking photos, when focusing on a nearby dark object, the bright place in the distance will be overexposed. What should I do?

Photos with a large contrast between light and dark are usually accurately exposed through post-processing.

Matrix exposure is used when taking pictures to ensure accurate exposure of the entire picture.

Then through post-processing, we reduce the highlights and improve the shadows to achieve accurate exposure. Today’s cameras have good latitude and there is a lot of room for post-production.

Or take one normal exposure, one overexposed, and one underexposed in the early stage. It can also be done through post-production HDR.

It would be better if the camera has its own HDR function.
