How to assemble the skeleton fossils of large quadruped vertebrates?

The bones of large quadruped vertebrates such as dinosaurs and mammoths have always been the collection objects of major museums, and they are also the most shocking fossil exhibits for the audience. However, putting the restored bone fossils into the exhibition hall requires a complicated and delicate assembly process. It can be summarized as the following steps:

(1) Determines the posture of the skeleton. This needs to consider a variety of factors. The first is the in-situ burial state of fossils, including the posture at the time of burial, the integrity of bones, and the influence degree of late structural deformation. Secondly, we should also consider the size of the exhibition hall and the visual effect of the display. Therefore, the determination of the posture of bones, just like Gai Lou's previous drawings, needs to be repeatedly demonstrated and considered.

(2) Placement and assembly of the spine. It is necessary to set the curvature of the spine according to the determined placement posture, support it with brackets, then connect and support it with soft steel bars, and clamp the spine on the soft steel bars with clips. After the above work is completed, it is necessary to determine the height of the spine from the bottom and assemble the main support.

(3) After the spine is assembled, the skull, ribs, limbs, coccyx and sternum are assembled in turn. It should be noted that when assembling the skull, the jaw must be assembled firmly; When assembling reinforcement, first put each pair of reinforcement in the right position, and then assemble them one by one in sequence; When installing the forelimbs, the scapula should be installed at the correct height and at right angles to the spine.
