What should be used to keep camellia fresh?

Fresh-keeping of camellia chrysantha should use light salt water.

Adding salt to clean water can prevent the growth of bacteria in water, and to some extent, maintain the water absorption ability of flowers through different concentrations of salt water and flower cell fluid, thus maintaining the freshness of flowers. However, the concentration of physiological saline should not be too large, generally less than 5%, otherwise it will cause cell dehydration and death.

Basic conservation methods of fresh cut flowers

1, fresh cut flowers are divided into herbaceous and woody. After getting the fresh cut flowers, first check whether there is rot and necrosis at the bottom. If it needs to be cut off, the flower head part also needs to be checked to remove the moldy petals in time.

2. Cut the flower stem obliquely with scissors at an angle of about 45 degrees to ensure the smooth and complete incision.

3. Woody plants have poor water absorption. Cross-cutting can be used to cut the roots inward to a depth of about 1cm to increase the water absorption area of plants.

4. Generally speaking, the water depth of fresh cut flowers should be 15-25cm, and the water should be changed every 1-2 days for root cutting. When changing water, clean the inner wall of the container and the roots of plants, wash away slime mold, and trim the roots at least 1cm at a time.
