Around this clue, the investigation team finally found out that a photographer named "Zhen Zhen" photo studio was appointed by the Kuomintang authorities to take photos at the execution ground. However, when the investigation team took the photographer to a place called Xiashawo at the scene of Fang Zhimin's murder, he was at a loss and could not identify the exact location. At the same time, it was reported that after Fang Zhimin's martyrdom, the Kuomintang authorities had Fang Zhimin buried in a thin coffin. So the investigation team found another party and organized manpower to dig in Xiashawo, but there was no result. Later, according to the photos of Fang Zhimin when he was executed, it was judged that Fang Zhimin was in chains when he was executed, and his bones must be in chains. However, of all the bones excavated, none was in chains. On May 26th, 1958, experts from the Institute of Forensic Medicine formally signed an appraisal certificate, declaring these nine bones as Fang Zhimin's remains. In the same year, the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee reported the discovery and identification of Fang Zhimin's remains to the Central Committee.
