Where was Changhai in the Republic of China?

Changhai County belongs to Dalian City, Liaoning Province.

Historical evolution:

In the thirty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1945), after the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the people's government of Xinjin County (now pulandian city) established Changshan District in June of 1 1 to administer Dachangshan Island, Xiaochangshan Island, Guanglu Island, Zhangzi Island and their subordinate islands; Zhuanghe County People's Government established Shicheng Island District, which governs Shicheng Island, Dawangjia Island and its subordinate islands.

In May 1946, the island and Uman Island were added.

From June 65438 to June 0946, Changshan area was divided into Changshan area and Guanglu area. Changshan District governs Dachangshan Island, Xiaochangshan Island and their subordinate islands (excluding Uman Island), while Guanglu District governs Guanglu Island, Zhangzi Island and their subordinate islands.

In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), Changshan District, Guanglu District, Island and Uman Island were merged into Changshan Islands with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

On June 1 2003, Shicheng Township and Wang Jiazhen were handed over to zhuanghe city for trusteeship.

On September 1 1, 2004, with the approval of the State Council, Shicheng Township and Wang Jiazhen were officially placed under zhuanghe city.
