Tips for subway photography

1, shoot people's faces

There are all kinds of people in the subway, some are rushing to work and some are resting. We can capture a story with a lens, but it is too far to use a huge telephoto when it is particularly crowded, so a 50mm standard lens is enough. It should be noted that not everyone likes to be photographed, so a polite attitude after being noticed can save a lot of trouble.

2. Use a special lens to get this effect.

If you want to shoot in the subway, you can prepare the lens of 1-3. The suggestions are as follows:

(1)50mm large aperture fixed focus lens

The focal length of 50 mm (35mm for APS-C camera) is the most standard and easy to master. The large aperture is also very suitable for shooting in the dark subway, which can easily shoot charming shallow depth of field and improve the effect. Moreover, most 50mm fixed-focus lenses are also light and easy to carry.

(2) fisheye lens

The fisheye lens can provide a viewing angle as high as 180 degrees, which is very suitable for shooting panorama in the narrow Shaanxi environment, and the distortion effect brought by the fisheye lens is also very special, which can be used as an attempt.

(3) Standard zoom lens in the range of18-105 mm.

This type of standard zoom lens is very convenient, and it can cover both far and near shots, but the aperture is generally relatively small. Pay attention to whether the shutter speed can reach the safety shutter, and increase the ISO value if necessary.

3, adjust the effect of color

Different subway stations have different decoration styles. We can create different atmosphere by adjusting the white balance or changing the color later.

4. Like Lomo.

Sometimes you don't have to care too much about composition. Try to be close to the subject, cut the photo into squares, and add LOMO effect with software. The photo will be very tasty!

Step 5 Use a slow shutter

There are often moving trains in the subway. We can prepare a tripod, put the camera down without disturbing others, then slow down the shutter speed, take a dynamic train and find a stationary passenger as the foreground, which will also produce a very good contrast effect.

6. Choose your composition angle

Simplify the elements in the photo. We can try that the photo only contains one or two elements, then find a special angle of view and press the shutter, so that your photo level will definitely go further.
