How to Improve the Brightness of Photographic Works
1. Understanding exposure
Exposure is a very important concept in photography, which determines the brightness and color of photos. In photography, exposure is controlled by aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity. To master exposure, we need to understand the function and relationship of these parameters.
The aperture controls the amount of light entering the camera. A larger aperture allows more light to enter the camera and increases the brightness of the photo. The shutter speed determines the exposure time. A slower shutter speed allows more light to enter the camera and increases the brightness of the photo. ISO sensitivity determines the sensitivity of the camera. A higher ISO value can make it easier for the camera to capture light and increase the brightness of the photo.
In actual shooting, these parameters can be adjusted according to the brightness of the scene and the desired effect. Generally speaking, darker scenes need more exposure, and brighter scenes need less exposure.
2. Choose the right focal length
Focal length refers to the viewing angle of the lens, which determines the visual field and perspective effect of the photo. Different focal lengths can present different effects.
A shorter focal length (wide angle) can present a larger field of vision, which is suitable for shooting landscapes, buildings, groups and so on. A longer focal length (telephoto) can present a smaller field of view, which is suitable for shooting distant subjects or highlighting the details of subjects.
When choosing the focal length, it can be decided according to the subject and the desired effect. Try different focal lengths and find the style that suits you best.
Pay attention to composition
Composition refers to the process of selecting and arranging the subject and background in the viewfinder. Good composition can make photos more attractive and artistic.
In composition, we can use some basic composition principles, such as balance, symmetry, repetition, golden section and so on. Balance refers to balancing the elements of the subject and background in the picture to make the photo look more harmonious. Symmetry refers to the use of symmetry element in the picture to make the photos look more orderly. Repetition refers to the use of repetitive elements in the picture to make the photo look more rhythmic. Golden section refers to dividing the picture into three equal parts, and putting the subject on the golden section point to make the photo more layered.
In actual shooting, you can choose the appropriate composition according to the theme and scene. Try different composition methods to find the best photo for you.
Use light
Light is a very important factor in photography, which will affect the color, brightness and texture of photos. To take wonderful photos, you need to learn how to use light.
When shooting indoors, you can use windows or lights to create soft light. When shooting outdoors, you can use the morning or evening sunshine to create soft light. In addition, you can also try to use backlight, side light and backlight to create different effects.
When using light, you need to pay attention to the direction and intensity of light. Different light directions and intensities can produce different effects, such as contrast between light and shade, shadows and highlights.
5. Post-processing
Post-processing refers to the use of image editing software to adjust and optimize photos after shooting. Post-processing can enhance the color, contrast and details of photos and make them look better.
In post-processing, some basic adjustment tools can be used, such as exposure, contrast, saturation, sharpening and so on. In addition, you can also try to use filters and special effects to increase the artistic sense of photos.
In post-processing, attention should be paid to keeping the photos natural and true. Excessive processing will make the photos look unreal and exaggerated.
