First, the school profile

Tianjin polytechnic university is a public full-time ordinary university jointly established by the central government and local governments, with local management as its main task. It is a multi-disciplinary university with Tianjin as the key construction area, combining production with learning, and the coordinated development of engineering, science, literature, management, economics and law. National key disciplines 1, 3 provincial and ministerial key disciplines, 5 key construction disciplines in Tianjin during the Tenth Five-Year Plan and 2 key disciplines in Tianjin. 2 State Key Laboratories of the Ministry of Education and 3 Key Laboratories of Tianjin, 1 Tianjin Engineering Technology Center, 1 Tianjin Technology Promotion Center; At present, there are 1 postdoctoral mobile stations, 1 first-class doctoral programs, 7 doctoral programs in two disciplines, 4 doctoral programs in two disciplines, 43 master programs (three of which also have the right to grant master's degrees to college teachers), 9 master's programs in engineering and 44 undergraduate programs. Second, the general situation of art majors

The fine arts major in tianjin polytechnic university has a history of more than 20 years since 1984. With a strong faculty and complete professional settings, it enjoys a high reputation in the society and has trained a large number of high-level talents combining art and technology. At present, there are 6 undergraduate majors in art design, animation, industrial design, advertising, radio and television journalism, fashion design and engineering [Art Department], 2 master's programs (design art, fashion design and engineering) and 1 doctoral program (fashion design and engineering).

Over the years, relying on the dominant disciplines in tianjin polytechnic university, combining the development of international art education and the demand characteristics of art design talents in China, the art major in our school has been studying new theories, new sciences and new directions, constantly strengthening the combination of art and technology, and attaching importance to cultivating students' comprehensive quality and innovative ability, and has become a key discipline major in Tianjin. As a characteristic discipline of the University of Technology, the teaching facilities of art majors are constantly improving. First-class domestic art CAD and industrial design laboratories have been established, among which the art CAD laboratory has become the clothing CAD technical training center authorized by Lectra, the Adobe authorized training center and the Canadian PAD (China) training center. The school has professional studios such as modeling, clothing technology, animation, pottery, screen printing, photography, ergonomics, and a special multi-function hall for display and clothing performance. Professional teachers have reasonable structure and rich experience. They published dozens of textbooks and monographs, and cooperated with enterprises to complete a number of scientific research projects. Their teaching and scientific research achievements have successively won teaching achievement awards at the municipal, ministerial and national levels, and dozens of teachers and students have won prizes in design competitions at home and abroad, including the highest prize in professional competitions, such as the bronze prize for the creative group of the "Hasselblad Austrian Super Photography Exhibition" held in 2005 (Chinese mainland was the only one to win the prize of the world's top photography competition). He has won the United Nations Education Award, the First Prize of the 9th Asian Art Exhibition in 2004, the First Prize of the UnNGO World Peace Art Exhibition in 2004, the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards of the Fashion Show Grand Prix of China Textile and Apparel Institute in 2006, the Brothers Cup International Youth Fashion Design Competition, the China TV Fashion Design Competition and the China Professional Fashion Design Competition. China Fashion Cup Fashion Institute won the gold medal in the invitational tournament, the champion and runner-up in Tianjin Division in 2006, the gold medal in the 6th National Advertising Photography Competition, the silver prize in the 2nd1National Photography Art Exhibition, and the runner-up in the 2004 New Silk Road China Model Finals. Several of the graduates have become well-known domestic entrepreneurs and chief designers of well-known clothing brands. Four of them were selected as "Top Ten Fashion Designers in China", and two of them won the "Golden Top Award". 1 was selected as "Top Ten Professional Models in China", and the teaching quality was recognized by the industry.

Our school has signed an inter-school cooperation agreement with relevant universities in Germany. According to the cooperation agreement, outstanding undergraduates majoring in art design, fashion design and engineering can be recommended by the school to transfer to Germany to study for a master's degree (all in English, free of tuition).
