But Nikon D750 makes many photographers care about its focusing system, because this time Nikon D750 adopts a top-level focusing system of 5 1, which is the same as Nikon's flagship SLR D4S. The coverage area of 5 1 focus is smaller than that of D4S.

The 5 1 focus points of D750 form a high-density network, covering the center of the picture in all directions. However, users who have used D4S can find that although it is also 5 1 focus, the focus coverage area of D750 is not as large as D4S, indicating that Nikon still has a hand. 5 1 In the focusing point, 15 is equipped with a cross sensor, which can quickly detect the phase in the horizontal and vertical directions. All focus points can respond at f/5.6 aperture. The newly developed advanced Multi-CAM 3500 II autofocus sensor module provides stronger focus detection ability, and can even play a role in extremely dark -3 EV light that is difficult for human eyes to see.

Group area autofocus mode makes it easier to capture moving objects.

Nikon D750, like D4S, adds the group area autofocus mode on the basis of single-point autofocus, dynamic area autofocus, 3D tracking and automatic area autofocus, which is the focus mode shown below. This focus mode is 1 focus point specified by the user, and the other four focus points are in the four directions of the focus point selected by the user, and the subject is photographed by a group of five points.

When shooting moving or high-speed moving objects, Nikon D6 10 and other dynamic area autofocus modes have three preset small modes to deal with it, but only the center point keeps the focus lit, which always makes people worry when they are in continuous shooting, and whether they will focus on the actual shooting object. The newly added AF focusing mode of D750 in the group area is that the four points of up, down, left and right are lit continuously, and the focus point in the middle is not lit. At the same time, my personal coverage of the upper, lower, left and right points is also large enough, so I am still very relieved to use this model.

The picture above shows me shooting a school football match with a Nikon D750. Animation is a composite effect of continuous shooting. After I enlarged the focus of each photo to 100%, I found that although the subject moves very fast (running and dribbling ...), with the group focusing mode of Nikon D750, we can still clearly capture the facial expression of the subject, even the hair can be clearly seen.

Group area autofocus can use five autofocus points at the same time like a grid, which can clearly focus unpredictable moving objects and avoid mistaking the background. The picture above shows the students playing baseball. Although F4 aperture is used, the focus of the group area can still be clearly focused on the main body, instead of being mistakenly focused on the background.

Compared with D6 10, continuous shooting at 6.5 sheets/sec is not improved much, but it is enough.

Compared with Nikon D6 10 continuous shooting, the number of continuous shooting sheets of D750 is increased to 6.5 sheets per second. Although the number of sheets is small, it is enough in practical use.

The above pictures were all taken in continuous shooting+group focusing mode, and later synthesized into moving pictures. 6.5 frames/second continuous shooting and group focusing mode, so that even if you shoot high-speed moving objects, you won't miss the decisive moment. When continuous shooting is tracking the subject, even if a person suddenly appears in the picture, he can follow the subject well with five points up, down, left and right plus the center, and each picture can be accurately focused when shooting.

Generally speaking, Nikon D750' s focusing system is still very satisfactory, taking the route of top-class focusing system. Although it is slightly reduced (the coverage area of 5 1 is smaller than that of D4 and D8 10), it is much better than that of D6 10 and Df. Moreover, the new group focus mode has a high success rate, which is the favorite of sports photographers and eco-photographers. As for the continuous shooting of 6.5 frames/second, it is a little higher than D6 10, which is enough for daily use.
