The author is also a photographer, and I provide some eclipse photography skills for your reference. 1. Never point directly at the sun, or it will burn the camera CCD or CMOS. This is the same as the principle of retinal burn in human eyes irradiated by strong light.

2. The phase of partial eclipse must be filmed by dimming film and Budd film. You can also shoot with eclipse glasses in front of the camera.

3. Remove the dimmer during the total solar eclipse and shoot directly at the sun.

4. Be fully prepared in advance. For example, step on the spot a few days before the total solar eclipse and try to shoot at the same time.

Direct shooting method:

During the total solar eclipse on July 22nd, 2009, the horizon angle of sun gear was very large, so it was difficult for even a wide-angle camera to capture the ground scenery and sun gear at the same time. Therefore, if the main purpose is to shoot sun gear, we have to give up the scenery on the ground.

2. Try to use a telephoto lens. The diameter d of the sun gear image in the photo is proportional to the focal length f of the objective lens (d=0.0093F). For example, when the focal length is 1000mm, the diameter of sun gear image on the negative film of 135 is1000 * 0.0093 = 9.3 mm. For another example, the size of sun gear image with focal length of 50mm is 0.5mm, and the size of sun gear image with focal length of 50mm is1. I am an analogy.

3. Be sure to use a tripod. It is best to release the cable to prevent the vibration caused by pressing the shutter by hand.

4. The partial eclipse lasts for a long time, so you can practice focusing repeatedly to avoid leaving regrets when the total solar eclipse arrives. Of course, focusing is an experience, and there is no shortcut.

Of course, in the actual shooting process, it is not necessary to strictly abide by this exposure meter, but to make corresponding choices according to the weather, light and other on-site conditions of the day. A solar eclipse is a typical example of light traveling in a straight line in a celestial body. When the moon moves between the sun and the earth, it is not always like this. When a lunar eclipse occurs, two conditions need to be met. First of all, the solar eclipse always happens on the first day of the lunar calendar. Not all eclipses will happen on the first day of the lunar calendar, because the orbit of the moon (ecliptic) and the orbit of the sun (ecliptic) are not on the same plane. Because the average length of the umbra of the moon (373,293 kilometers) is shorter than the average distance between the moon and the earth (384,400 kilometers), there are more annular eclipses on the whole earth than total solar eclipses.
