Nikon D7000P files are always dark without taking pictures. What if the adjustment is not good?

1, the light is too dim. Can improve ISO sensitivity and brightness; Or turn on the flash to fill the light;

2. If the exposure compensation (EV value) is inadvertently set to a relatively large negative value, then set it to 0 or add a little;

3. The metering mode is spot metering or central key metering, and the focus is just in the bright area of the picture when shooting. At this time, the camera automatically determines that the shutter speed and aperture are set according to the relatively small exposure, which leads to the overall darkness of the picture (especially when shooting scenery). This phenomenon can be avoided by increasing the EV value or switching to weighted average metering.

If it is spot metering, you can also move the focus to a darker place for metering.

The good effect of P-file also needs the cooperation of appropriate metering mode:

1, when shooting scenery or the contrast between light and dark is not big, you can use weighted average photometry (matrix photometry), which is easier to operate;

2. When taking portraits, flowers, macro close-ups, or when there is a big contrast between light and dark, it is best to use spot metering or central key metering, and the metering effect is more accurate, but it takes a process to master it skillfully.

In addition, photometry is also related to the focus area. If you choose a single focus area, it is best to cooperate with spot metering, otherwise metering may not be accurate.
