Introduction

On the hillside facing Lingyin Temple, Feilai Peak is dotted with Buddhist grotto statues dating back to the Five Dynasties. There are more than 340 statues, which are rare in ancient times in the south of the Yangtze River in my country. The artistic treasures of the grottoes are comparable to the Dazu Rock Carvings in Chongqing. Su Dongpo once wrote a poem: "There are mountains and rivers where you can stay for a hut, but I love Lingyin Feilai Peak the most." There is a philosophical poem "Feilai Peak" written by Jingshi from Jiangnan: "When tourists come to the mountain and stop to take a look, they will be surprised by the mystery of a stone. It should be noted that things change with circumstances, and it cannot be said that if they come, they will not fly." (from "Zai Jing Tang Ji") Note: Facing, looking at each other) The stone carvings include the Western Three Saints (Fifth Dynasty), the relief of Lu Shena Buddhist Association (Northern Song Dynasty), Budai Monk (Southern Song Dynasty), Vajrapani Bodhisattva, the King of Hearings, and the male form Guanyin (all from the Yuan Dynasty). era), they are all rare art treasures. What is particularly eye-catching is the smiling Maitreya Buddha with his bare chest and belly. This is the largest statue in Feilaifeng Grottoes and a representative work of sculpture art in the Song Dynasty. At the eastern foot of Feilai Peak, there is the Xia Tianzhu Temple (Fajing Temple), an ancient temple of the Sui Dynasty. From there, going southwest along the stream, there are also the Zhong Tianzhu Temple (Fajing Temple), which was built two years later than Xia Tianzhu, and the Wuyue Temple in the Five Dynasties. The Shangtianzhu Temple (Faxi Temple) built on it is collectively known as "Tianzhu Temple".

When you visit Feilai Peak, you will see that this mountain has no strange rocks, no ancient trees, no caves, and is extremely beautiful. Its landscape is very different from the surrounding peaks. Wandering in Lingyin, Feilaifeng and Santianzhu have a distant and profound Buddhist atmosphere. Visit and appreciate the charm of Buddhist art, and truly feel the rich historical and cultural charm contained in the mountains and rivers of West Lake.

Feilaifeng Scenic Area is 45 yuan, and Lingyin Temple fragrant flower coupon is 30 yuan. Legend

It is said that one day, Monk Jigong of Lingyin Temple suddenly had a whim and knew that a mountain peak was about to fly from a distance. At that time, there was a village in front of Lingyin Temple, and Jigong was afraid that the flying mountain peak would crush him. The dead man rushed into the village and urged everyone to leave as soon as possible. The villagers were used to seeing Jigong being crazy and making fun of others, so they thought he was just trying to make everyone happy this time, so no one listened to him. Seeing that the mountain peak was about to come, Jigong was anxious, so he rushed into a house where a bride was being married, picked up the bride who was worshiping in the hall, and ran away. When the villagers saw the monk snatching the bride, they all shouted and chased him out. As people were chasing, they suddenly heard the howling wind, the sky was dark and the ground was dark, and with a "rumbling" sound, a mountain peak flew down in front of Lingyin Temple, overwhelming the entire village. At this time, people realized that Jigong robbed the bride to save everyone, so they called this peak "Feilai Peak".

2. Feilai Peak, also known as Lingjiu Peak, is 168 meters high. According to legend, the Indian monk Huili came to Hangzhou more than 1,600 years ago. When he saw this peak, he said in amazement: "This is the small ridge of Lingjiu Mountain in Tianzhu. I don't know how it came here?" Therefore, it is called Feilai Peak.

There is a Cold Spring Pavilion outside the Tianwang Hall of Lingyin Temple. It is said that when Su Dongpo was the prefect of Hangzhou, he often drank banquets and composed poems at the Cold Spring Pavilion. Feilai Peak is a rare ancient grotto art treasure in the south of the Yangtze River, comparable to the Dazu Rock Carvings in Chongqing. Su Dongpo once wrote a poem: "There are mountains and rivers where you can stay for a hut, but I love Lingyin Feilai Peak the most." Features

The geological structure of Feilai Peak is limestone, which is very different from the surrounding mountains. There are no rocks that are not strange, no trees that are not ancient, and no caves that are not quiet. There are strange rocks, luxuriant ancient trees, and caves everywhere. It is said that there are 72 caves, most of which have been forgotten.

In the existing Longhong Cave, there is a statue of Guanyin sitting in the cave. On the left side of the cave is Shexu Cave. You can see a ray of sky through the cracks on the top of the rock. This is the famous ray of sky. You can hear the constant sound of gurgling water in Zangliudong. There is also the Ape Calling Cave on the west side of the mountain, which is said to be the place where the monk Huili called the black and white apes. Cold Spring Ape Roar was once one of the ten scenic spots in Qiantang.

At the west foot of Feilai Peak, there is a cold spring hidden deep in the green shade. The spring is as crystal clear as jade. On the surface of the clear and clear pool, there is an underground spring water as big as a bowl gushes out. No matter the stream rises or falls, , it spurts endlessly, flying beads splashing jade, like playing the music of nature. Ming Dynasty painter Shen Shitian's poem says: "The scenery on the lake is said to be hidden in the spirit, and the scenery is alone among the cold springs." There is a cold spring pavilion built beside the cold spring pool.

At the entrance of Longhong Cave in Feilaifeng Peak is the Ligong Pagoda, also known as Lingjiu Pagoda. It is the only existing Ming Pagoda in Hangzhou. It is made of stones and has six sides and six floors, which is extremely rare. The whole tower is organized step by step from bottom to top, with a simple and unique structure.

Cuiwei Pavilion, located halfway up Lingyin Feilai Peak, is small and exquisite. The mountain path around the pavilion is winding, and it is hidden among the old pines and trees. It is simple and dignified. This pavilion was built by Han Shizhong, a famous general who fought against the Jin Dynasty in the Southern Song Dynasty, to commemorate Yue Fei. There is a couplet on the pavilion that says: "The road turns to the peak to return to the ancient relics, and the people in the pavilion look up to the sages before them." Today's Cuiwei Pavilion was rebuilt on the original pavilion site in 1924.

In the caves of Feilaifeng and on the cliffs along the stream, there are more than 470 stone statues from the Five Dynasties to the Song and Yuan dynasties (of which 335 are intact or relatively complete). The earliest three Buddha statues on the rock to the right of the entrance to Qinglin Cave were Amitabha, Guanyin, and Mahasthamaprapta, which were built in 951 AD. These exquisite cliff carvings are precious historical heritage of art.

There are more than 200 statues in the Song Dynasty, most of which are of the above type. The relief statue of the Lu Shena Buddhist Society is the most exquisite work of Song Dynasty statues. The big-bellied Maitreya statue in the Southern Song Dynasty is the largest among the Feilaifeng statues and is also the earliest big-bellied Maitreya statue in my country. The image of a man with an open chest and belly, always smiling, "tolerating all the things that are difficult to tolerate in the world, and laughing at all the ridiculous people in the world" makes tourists rush to take pictures.

Feilaifeng Lamaism statues, there are about 100 Han and Tibetan statues from the Yuan Dynasty, which are exquisitely carved, handsome in appearance, graceful in body, and relatively well preserved. The statues of Vairocana, Manjusri and Samantabhadra on the outer wall of the Qinglin Cave are the earliest Yuan Dynasty stone statues in a niche in West Lake, Hangzhou. There is a high relief sculpture from the Song Dynasty on the left side of the Huyuan Cave entrance.

In 1993, Feilaifeng Scenic Area opened another scenic spot called the Chinese Grottoes Art Collection Park. Jicui Garden takes advantage of the Feilaifeng Mountain Forest and the advantages of stone carvings to shape the Sichuan Dazu Rock Carvings, Leshan Giant Buddha, Anyue Reclining Buddha, Gansu Maijishan Grottoes, Shanxi Yungang Grottoes, Henan Longmen Grottoes, etc. Grotto statues. The Jicui Garden is 250 meters long and contains nearly 10,000 Buddha statues representing different places and eras. The Yuan Dynasty statues at Feilaifeng are particularly valuable, filling the gap in the grotto art from the Five Dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty in my country. In 1982, the State Council announced the Feilaifeng Statue as a national key cultural relic protection unit. Tourism Transportation Transportation
