2. Curve adjustment.

Images and adjustments in the menu bar are adjustments to the current layer, but the disadvantage is that it is not convenient to make secondary modifications. For example, if you feel dissatisfied after adjustment, it is difficult to change back to the original appearance, unless you remember how many parameters have been adjusted, or ALT+SHIFT+Z, but the undo part is limited.

The effect adjustment in the layer panel is to add an adjustment layer on the layer to facilitate secondary modification.
