Underwater photography of old photos

I have been introducing the twelve bronze heads of Yuanmingyuan these days. In fact, there are many historical stories in Yuanmingyuan.

After all, as one of the famous royal gardens in Qing Dynasty, Yuanmingyuan covers an area of 35,000 square kilometers, equivalent to 8.5 Forbidden City.

Since the completion of Kangxi in 48 years, it has been improved by generations such as Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing and Daoguang. Yuanmingyuan is known as "the model of all gardening arts", and even French writer victor hugo is also known as "the model of ideal and art".

But unfortunately, after the destruction of war and history, Yuanmingyuan now presents the world with only ruins.

What is the Yuanmingyuan destroyed by the British and French allied forces?

1860, Yuanmingyuan was burned by the British and French allied forces. It was intended to be razed to the ground when it was burned. However, due to the large area of Yuanmingyuan, scattered scenic spots and vast waters, some obscure corners or scenic spots in the water in Yuanmingyuan survived the burning.

13 years later, that is, 1873, Ernst Orr, a German who worked in the customs of the Qing Dynasty, came to Yuanmingyuan for the first time and took photos of this royal garden that had been destroyed by the war with his camera.

These photos have also become the earliest images of Yuanmingyuan in current history.

These photos are also well preserved, which can not only record the ruins of Yuanmingyuan, but also record this humiliating history.

Harmony and Curiosity North of the main building:

A harmonious and interesting panorama:

Harmonious and interesting music hall:

Harmony and Curiosity East of the main building:

Harmony and curiosity is the first European-style water dharma hall built in Yuanmingyuan in the 16th year of Qianlong. There are three main buildings, nine arc corridors in front of the building connect the two-story octagonal building, and there is a small fountain on the back.

The flood law:

Dashui law is the most typical representative of Yuanmingyuan site. It is the three fountains of Yuanmingyuan, and its 12 bronze animal head is around Dashuifa.

Nowadays, in many people's minds, Dashuifa site is a symbol of Yuanmingyuan, and it has also become a must-see place for tourists to punch in.

Square appearance

The square appearance was built in Qianlong twenty-four years. At that time, it was mainly a mosque, which was a place to worship Gan Long Rong Fei (ChristianRandPhillips in Princess Zhu Huan).

When Yuanmingyuan was burned, except for the burnt wooden structure, marble and tiles, the appearance of the square was the same as that of other western buildings. However, most of the remnants of the square appearance we see today are caused by bandits and warlords.

Corner of Haiyan hall

As the largest and most beautifully decorated building in the West Building of Yuanmingyuan, in the photo of Haiyan Hall taken by Olmao, the roof has collapsed and the pool in front of the building is full of weeds.

As can be seen from the photos, the roof and floor have basically collapsed, and some brick walls inside have also collapsed. There are still some glass fragments on the south side, the shape and decoration are the same as those recorded in historical materials, but the ash on the wall is peeling off.

Of the 65,438+02 photos of Yuanmingyuan taken by Olmao, the original negative has never been released in Chinese mainland. After Olmo died, his wife gave this 12 glass negative to the German architect Ernst? Bosman.

Later, with the interruption of the war, these negatives went through many difficulties, and finally found the old photo studio in Qin Feng in 2009, and raised huge sums of money to buy back these negatives from overseas.

Later, on the occasion of commemorating the 50th anniversary of Yuanmingyuan/KLOC-0, these precious historical photos were finally made public for the first time.

Now there are no scenes like 12 photos in Yuanmingyuan.

These pictures are clearly visible, as if they were yesterday's scenes. In addition to witnessing some of the elegant demeanor of Yuanmingyuan, they once again arouse our thinking about this humiliating history-we will be beaten if we fall behind!
