He stepped on a bicycle in the street and ate noodles on the roadside, but the slow and sad erhu song of the blind entertainer under the overpass continued outside the picture, still a melody in his mind, flowing sadly.

The lens rides a bicycle through the city, shops, vendors and vehicles on the roadside pass by from time to time, and the music is soothing.

On the screen of the camera, the scenery along the way is slowly revealed, just like a slowly unfolding picture scroll.

Does this rhythm belong to the metropolis of Taipei? There are no tall buildings, only street vendors with green trees and green mountains.

Recalling walking in the mountains, people are so small.

A few meters long ancient hand scroll, the scenery outside the window is also good. In the process of changing scenery, we feel the flow of time and the passage of life.

On the white screen, two words are written in black ink, which is vigorous and unobtrusive. The beauty of calligraphy attracted me deeply.

"There is a museum in the mountains here. She used to pass by this island, but fate made her stay. "

A creative film with the theme of commemorating the 80th anniversary of the completion of the Forbidden City revolves around the stories of three people: the old, the middle-aged and the young. Old A Chaobo is an old employee who once delivered treasures and witnessed the history of the Forbidden City during the war. James is a "great writer" who studies the art of the Forbidden City, while A Jing is a researcher full of enthusiasm and dreams for the younger generation.

In the flashy and noisy modern society, he, James, seems to be an alien. Walking in a quiet alley late at night is a lonely person. Because his time stopped at the moment when his beloved left, all the laughter was left in the past. Silent, cold, talking to himself in front of the ancient picture scroll, indifferent face, speaking without emotion, frozen heart, like a stagnant pool, only immersed in a person's world.

"I don't want to rebuild or demolish." Jing is stubborn and doesn't want to see her home demolished. However, that's just our desire to keep the past, knowing that this unrealistic desire can't stop the pace of reality and can't change anything.

"People always have dreams" may sometimes seem incomprehensible and incredible to others, but it will come true one day.

A Chaobo's account of transporting treasures in the past, looking for places to collect treasures, digging caves, etc. flashed back from time to time, which opened up A Jing's curiosity and beautiful imagination of the past in her childhood, created a dream in her young mind, and also took us back and forth between the past and the reality, and shuttled back and forth during her recent visit. The subway quickly entered the platform. Have you just returned from a visit? Sleeping quietly by the window, the dream seems to have returned to the scene of seeing the cold food sticker for the first time when I was a child.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, walk carefully into the cave with pilgrimage-like piety, and meet the dream world. She seems to have entered the Millennium that she just visited, leading to the distant past. All those years of dreams and prayers, just for this moment, walking in this cave tunnel warehouse with deep treasures, touching a little bit of the truth of the past.

Walking in this long tunnel warehouse, her figure is far away and getting smaller and smaller; It was a long river of time, in which people finally disappeared. Only those books, paintings and sculptures have remained and become traces of history and life.

She is young and has dreams, and she will be moved by others' dreams and give help. As she said, her favorite word is the word "person" in seal script, because "it's like a person reaching out and trying to hold another person, which is a friendly gesture". And her feelings and enthusiasm, which quietly bloomed, also infected a somewhat autistic East Cross like stagnant water.

Island, also have a dream. In order to dream, he came from Japan, to have a look at the original Cold Food Sticker, to have a look at one of his grandfather's most proud works as a calligrapher, and also because when he wrote Cold Food Sticker in the workplace where Shi was exiled, he wanted to talk to the works and feel the same mood and inner peace as the ancients. Although history is full of stories and changes of the times, people's moods, emotions and environments are always similar and interlinked.

Everyone has their own memories, stories buried deep in their hearts,

We are all passers-by of time, and life is just a process.

The doddering Achaobo was once a young man who bravely transported treasures in the war.

Silent James was once a teenager immersed in laughter and a child walking in the mountains with his father, but one day, his father never came back after entering the mountains.

Jing, she grew up listening to a tidal wave telling stories and treasures of the old palace. It is also the child sitting in the back seat of a motorcycle, crossing the tunnel and leading to the other side of memory.

Memories are the scenery we walked through.

There are always shortcomings in life. The blind man playing erhu on the overpass just wrote in front of a bowl full of money: "Life has shortcomings, and a bowl bears it."

"The incompleteness of some things is a necessary process, so be it." In the face of the antique bowl broken by Jing, I wrote this sentence, both for Jing and for myself.

There is also A Chaobo's sentence, "The regret of life is just a memory after a meal." It also allowed Dongheng to finally come out of the endless regrets in the past and face a new life again. Well, I also want to read this sentence several times to remind myself more.

Although the film was shot to commemorate the Forbidden City, the story revolves around ancient paintings and calligraphy, but it is not antique at all. On the contrary, we feel the vitality of history in the heroine's young dreams and enthusiasm and the interspersed performances of those childish animations.

What is treasured in the Forbidden City is the treasure treasured by mankind for thousands of years. They are a small part of the treasure of human history. Like cold food stations, they were displaced in the war-torn years and finally fortunately preserved. And for each of us, what is the most precious in our hearts? A Chaobo told us that a jade horse sent by his mother who accompanied him through the war-torn youth was the most precious treasure in his life. "Although it's just an ordinary original stone jade, it feels the same to me as the treasures in the Forbidden City being broken ..."

This drama film, which was filmed to commemorate the Forbidden City, gave me a new understanding of history and museums, and also aroused my impulse to pick up the brush again.

I always feel that the museum is full of lifeless and cold objects, and I don't have much interest. I never understood the meaning between the lines when I was a child. For me, they are just templates for words. Different fonts have different characteristics, and then I understand "words are like people" and understand a person's personality from the structure of words. I didn't know until I grew up that calligraphy works, like all arts, are an expression. This expression is not only in words, but also between the lines of priority and relaxation. However, I have never fully understood my feelings. With the era when even paper and pen were almost replaced by computer typing, writing brush is a distant word. Although I took pen and ink abroad, except for occasional performances, I would rather sit in front of the computer every day than lay paper and practice calligraphy. It seems to be a ceremony, holding your breath, having no distractions and concentrating on the inner cultivation of the pen. Although today's "quietness" was cultivated from an early age, I still didn't look at those paintings and calligraphy works like the characters in the film, talk to them quietly, and feel the feelings of the ancients in various situations like us. Maybe I haven't been able to understand them yet, but after watching this movie, I realized once again that those paintings and calligraphy works are alive, people who were once alive and their stories have real feelings.

After all, works of art are about people's art, born of people's expression, and have existence and aesthetic value because of the existence of emotions.

When the old man Achaobo practiced Qigong twice, he said, "The virtual and the real alternate, and there can be no breakpoints." Perhaps it can also be understood as one of the keys to calligraphy. The continuity and connection between characters and strokes may also be a connection between history and modernity.

And when I saw the lines of black and white ink flowing in the film, was my inner excitement because of nostalgia for the past or forgotten dreams? I once had a dream of becoming a calligrapher, but I don't know when this dream has turned into a mockery of my naivety and gradually forgotten. However, my boyhood has also become some fates in today's real life. I am quiet, slow and patient ... When I was a child, I was chosen by an art class to study calligraphy. Now that I think about it, it's hard to say whether it's because I was born fit or because I practiced calligraphy like this.

And this hobby seems to be full of nostalgia now. Will there be some "disconnection"?

Surprisingly, I saw the performance of Cloud Gate Dance Collection in the film, and I never knew much about dance. I just saw some introductions about the new work "Running Grass" of Yunmen Dance Collection in Southern Weekend. Because of curiosity and fashion, I have always wanted to have a chance to see Cloud Gate Dance Collection. But when I saw this short passage in the movie,

The photography of the film feels very comfortable and performs well.

Not long ago, Kwai Lun Mei, who played a young middle school student in The Blue Gate, has become a slim and elegant woman. She is not beautiful. When she smiles, she squints her eyes and purses her lips, drawing three upward curves, which are so beautiful and infectious.

The one who plays the old man, Chao Bo, is a familiar face. Tian Feng, an old actor who has appeared in countless Taiwan Province movies or series, is always amiable. He is the father of childhood, and today, 20 years later, I also see the ruthlessness of time and the passage of time.
