1. I don't know if your self-help tour means driving by yourself or not joining a group. Because the scenic spots in Xinjiang are far away from the city, the journey time is long. . . . . It is more troublesome not to join the group. Joining the group is really not fun.

Let's talk about Kanas, Harmony Village and Ghost Town. The whole journey is more than 2000 kilometers. You can consider starting from Urumqi and taking a long-distance bus to Brzin. Remember to have a pass. Then take a bus from Brzin to Kanas or Harmony. These two scenic spots can be reached by riding each other. After playing Harmony in Kanas, I came to Brzin, because other cars don't stop in the ghost town except the tourist bus. You can only consider taking a bus from Brzin to Karamay, and then renting a car from Karamay to a ghost town.

3. Grassland recommends that you go to Tanggula grassland near Nalati. There are two routes, one is from Yining to Tanggula, and the other is from Kuitun, taking Tianshan Highway and crossing Tianshan to Tanggula.

4. Desert. I suggest you go to Shanshan Sand Mountain Park (actually Kumtag Desert). You can go directly to Shanshan by bus. Shashan Park is in the center of the city. Feel the strangeness of the desert extending into the city and living in harmony with the city.

Overall planning, 1 Go to Kanas first (not counting the road trip, it is recommended to take more than 2 days, Kanas one day, and Harmony 1 day). Out of Kanas, go to Karamay and rent a car to go to a ghost town. 3. The ghost town returned to Karamay or Kuitun. (It can be combined with 2 into one day) 4. Depart from Kuitun or Karamay and go to Tanggula via Yining (one way 1 day and a half, sightseeing 1-2 days). Or you can find a suitable car and go directly across Tianshan Mountain to Tanggula (6 hours one way). 5 Tanggula leaves for Urumqi (about 1 day). 6. Urumqi to Shanshan. It takes about 8 hours for a one-way trip. Shanshan returned to Urumqi. (You can go to various scenic spots in Turpan on the way, which is not recommended)

Generally speaking, your time is tight and may not be enough. The first suggestion is to rent a car or take a multi-seat night bus. Second, we can lower the requirements for grasslands and go to some scenic spots around Urumqi, such as nanshan pasture. This will save time.
