How to shoot time-delayed video with Sony micro-single?

What is time-lapse photography?

General time-lapse photography often uses video transitions, sunrise and sunset, surging clouds, city scenery, starry sky and orbit? These can be recorded by time-lapse shooting, and a better visual impression can be displayed by the effect of fast moving. Variety, movies, TV series, micro-movies, etc. Widely used, time-lapse photography has become an indispensable part of video shooting.

We know that ordinary video plays 24 frames per second, so if it takes 1 hour to record these 24 frames of images, take a frame every few minutes, then combine these 24 frames of images into a video of 1 second, and display the time change of 1 hour within 1 second, which is time-delay photography.

You may find it difficult to shoot time-lapse video. Shooting time-delayed video not only needs to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on cable release, but also needs to learn how to set the shooting interval, which is a bit high for ordinary photographers. So, give you a super easy-to-use scheme of Amway. After installing this app, you can easily shoot by setting the parameters in the app. So let's shoot a time-lapse video now.

Shooting preparation: micro-single ILCE-7SM2, lens SEL 1224G, tripod, time-lapse shooting app.

Ok, when you are ready, just choose a convenient and beautiful place to start shooting.

First open the app and enter the time-lapse shooting app.

There are many modes for theme selection. Because we have a variety of shooting environments, we choose a custom mode to shoot here.

Ps: Exposure parameters can only be adjusted in custom mode.

(Attached is the adjusted parameter diagram)

File format: There are three options (video/photo/photo and video). I choose photos and videos, so that I can get a video directly, and the photos are reserved for backup.

Interval and number of pictures: The shooting interval and number of pictures determine our final video presentation time. I expect to record the time change of 2 1 minute (1260s), so the shooting interval can be set smaller. After a single exposure test, the shooting interval is 6s, so the number of pictures is set to 2 10 (1260s/6s).

AE: AE tracking function can realize the automatic exposure of the camera during the whole shooting process, without worrying about the exposure error caused by the change of field light. Try to reduce flicker after video synthesis in the later stage. This is extremely convenient!

AE setting prompt:

Locke (AEL)? Shooting scenes with no change in exposure, such as shooting scenes with no change in light indoors.

FolLOw lo? The exposure changes slightly when shooting, for example, there may be a little light change when shooting street scenes during the day.

Tracking MID? There are certain changes in exposure when shooting. For example, when shooting at noon, the sun will change under the movement and occlusion of clouds.

Tracking. Hi? When shooting, the exposure changes dramatically, for example, from sunset in the evening to the night view of the city, the light will change dramatically.

Tips:

In time-lapse photography, the focal length generally does not change, so MF should be used, and the focal length should be carefully confirmed before shooting. It is best to set the white balance manually, because there will be some light changes when shooting, and it can be customized to 5500K K. Ok, just wait silently for more than 20 minutes at this time, and then check the results.
