Five-lamp stereo light distribution

If you want to make people feel more three-dimensional, spatial and textured like photography (as shown in Figure 3-58), you can use the five-lamp stereo lighting method to shoot. Five-lamp stereo light distribution method is a traditional classical light distribution scheme in portrait photography. In this light distribution scheme, 1 lamp is the main light for the main shape, the second lamp is the auxiliary light for the auxiliary shape, the second Three Lamps District is the contour light for shaping the contour features, the fourth lamp is the background light for controlling the background space, and the fifth lamp is the decorative lamp for decorating some local shapes in the picture. There are many changes in the light distribution method of five-lamp stereo light distribution, mainly depending on the needs of photographers to create themes and the specific situation of the subjects. Generally speaking, due to the different functions of the five lamps, there are differences and connections in light quality, light level, brightness, color temperature and other factors. For example, the brightness of the main light generally changes with the face of the subject, and the height is adjusted with the position of the face. The light quality of the main light is harder than that of the auxiliary light. Each lamp is determined according to the physical feeling needs of the subject, and the intensity of the main light is stronger than other lamps. The light level of the auxiliary lamp should be as close to the camera as possible, as high as the lens. The light quality of the auxiliary lamp is a flexible lamp. The intensity of auxiliary light depends on the color tone of the picture, the recording ability of film numbers, the light ratio and other factors. The light quality of side light is usually determined by the position of the subject. Generally, the light quality of side light is hard, and the intensity of side light is enough to outline the outline shape from the environment, but the texture of the outline part cannot be lost. The light level, quality and intensity of background light are generally determined according to the background situation, picture color and the needs of artistic space shaping. Background light is more important than front light, and professional portrait photographers usually need to measure it accurately and then determine the brightness of the background light. The light level of decorative lights in lighting is determined according to the local actual situation, and there is no certain law of light level, but the relationship among light quality, light ratio and color temperature should be considered.

Five-lamp plane light distribution

Five lights are common in portrait photography. Generally, five lamps should emphasize "flatness", "softness", "cleanness" and "flatness", which means that the intensity of five lamps is the same, as shown in Figure 3-59. When metering, make the output power of the former Three Lamps District the same, then turn on the Three Lamps District at the same time, measure the total exposure of Three Lamps District, and finally determine the actual exposure of the former Three Lamps District according to the situation. The background light is based on the actual exposure, two lights are leveled, then five lights are turned on, and a total exposure is measured according to the depth of the background shadow, so that the total exposure is equal to the actual exposure, and the background can be restored truthfully. When the total amount of background light is higher than the actual exposure, the background will become shallow, and when the total amount of background light is lower than the actual exposure, the background will become dark. "Soft" means that the light quality of the five lamps should be soft, and hard light cannot be used. "Clean" means that the lighting is smooth and there is no shadow in the picture.
