How to apply for copyright

The copyright application process is as follows:

1. Corresponding materials are required, including: title of work, category of work, signature, date of completion, whether to publish, form of completion of the work, author status, Copyright holder status, etc.;

2. Applicants are required to provide proof, including a copy of their ID card, etc. Applicants for legal entities and unincorporated entities should provide copies of business licenses, letters of attorney, etc.;

3. Fill in the application form for voluntary registration of works and the rights guarantee letter;

4. Sign and seal;

5. Pay the registration fee. Charges will be implemented strictly in accordance with the Copyright Office's work registration charging standards;

6. Review. If the work is qualified, it will be sent to the leaders of the Provincial Copyright Bureau for approval. If the work is qualified, the Provincial Copyright Bureau will issue a work registration certificate, file it and notify the applicant to come and collect it.

Materials that should be submitted for work registration:

1. Application for work registration (standard format provided by the work registration authority);

2. Author or other copyrights Identity document of the person;

3. Documents proving the ownership of the copyright of the work: copies of the cover and copyright page of the work; copies or samples of part or all of the manuscript of the written work; catalog of chapters of the work; art works, photography Copies of original manuscripts or photos of works; envelopes or photos and sample tapes of film and television works, audio-visual products; exclusive rights licensing contracts;

Legal basis: Article 12 of the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China

Authors and other copyright holders can register their works with registration agencies recognized by the national copyright authorities.
