Composition of Buddha Memorial Hall

The main buildings are located on the central axis, from east to west, in turn, the Ritual Hall, the Eight Pagodas, the 10,000-person photography platform, the Bodhi Square, the museum and the Buddha's Light Giant Buddha. In addition, there are Lingshan in the south and gardens in the north. The museum is nearly 50 meters high and covers four dry flats. The base is very high and the tower is covered with bowls. The base is decorated with yellow sandstone and the tower is made of rust stone. Four sacred pagodas stand at the four corners of the pedestal, and eucalyptus floats in the niches of the four pagodas. There are statues of bodhisattvas in the tower, namely Guanyin Bodhisattva of Great Compassion, Manjusri Bodhisattva of Great Wisdom, Bodhisattva of Great Wishing to Hide the King, and Mahatma Bodhisattva. In the museum, there is a basement and three floors above ground. In addition to providing Buddha's tooth relics, there is also a hall that can accommodate more than 2,000 people and a multi-functional exhibition space.

There are 48 underground palaces, which are expected to collect historical, knowledge, contemporary and commemorative cultural relics from the global public, and one will be opened every hundred years. With the collection of ordinary people, the Buddha Memorial Hall has become the most important cultural landmark in the history of Taiwan Province Province.

In front of the museum, there is a Bodhi Square with a length of 100 m and a width of 100 m. The ground of the square is paved with rusty stones and green bucket stones. The corridors on both sides of the square are 100 meters long, and there are 22 moving pictures of Buddha statues and 22 hymns written by Master Xing Yun floating on the walls. In the square outside the cloister, there are eighteen arhats, including the ten disciples of Buddha and the big arhats who attended the meeting in Amitabha Sutra, as well as three monks, such as Daaidao, Lotus and Youpoxian, and two arhats who turned dragons into tigers. Lohan's image is vivid, sitting or standing, or wearing a right-handed cassock, or wearing a long gown with wide sleeves. The 10,000-person photography platform in front of the square is a big staircase with a length of 50 meters and a width of 35 meters, with 17 steps, like 37 products.

In front of Bodhi Square in the museum, there are eight pagodas, representing the eight main temples. Their names are: One Religion, Two Masses, Three Kindness, Four Giving, Five Harmony, Six Degrees, Seven Honesties and Eight Roads. The eight pagodas are the same in shape, all square, seven-story pavilions and 37 meters high. The base is decorated with yellow sandstone, the outer wall of the tower is filial piety stone, the roof tile is bird tile, and the railing is stone.

The central area of the Eight Pagodas is Buddhism and Taoism, which is 240m long and113m wide. The floor is paved with rusty stones and green stones. The north-south corridor of Chengfo Avenue is 254 meters long, each made of Shanxi Blackstone, engraved with the fame of ten thousand people and the name of Foguang Caigen Tan, a master of Xingyun, which is rich in educational and literary connotations.

Located at the entrance of the museum area, the Lijing Hall is a building with one basement and three floors above the ground, with multi-functional services such as reception, inquiry, postal service, banking, photography and exhibition area.

The Buddha's Light Giant Buddha is located at the back of the main building, with a height of108m and an image height of 50m. It is the highest bronze sitting Buddha in the world. At present, the activity of "One Million Heart Sutras Entering the Dharma Body" is being actively carried out, and millions of people have copied the Heart Sutras and accepted them permanently in the Buddha body.
