Behind the fire city

This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Ken'ichi Yamamoto, the most famous historical novelist in Japanese literature. It won the 1 1 Seicho Matsumoto Prize and was also shortlisted for the Naoki Award. In the film, the city of Antu ordered by Nagata Nomoto was once the first famous city in Japan. The city is divided into seven floors and the building is 65 meters high. It took three years and tens of thousands of migrant workers, and the project cost was converted into a modern amount of about 1000 billion yen. After the change of Benneng Temple, Antu City was destroyed by fire. Both the structure outside the city and the interior decoration are historical classics.

The production of the film "City of Fire" is also magnificent, with an investment of 654.38+0.5 billion yen. It is the first time in Japanese film history that Mataemon, a maid-in-waiting craftsman, plays the leading role. The story vividly depicts Matawemen's efforts to build Antu city from the front, abandoning the war scenes of ordinary dramas in the Warring States period and focusing on recreating real historical figures. Through the carpenters' attitude of building a city, the spirit of "building with wood, building with heart" is expressed, and combined with the unimaginable luxury scene of building a city, it creates a unique touch in troubled times.

Toshiyuki Nishida, a representative figure in Japanese film circle, plays the leading role of Okabe. Nishida, who is over 60 years old, has more than 40 years of performance experience. He is an actor, a singer and a host, and he can be called a national idol of Japan. Mataymon's wife, always with her husband, is played by the powerful Shinobu Otake. This film is a collaboration between Dazhu and Nishida after 30 years. He has appeared in the movies "Cherry Garden" and "Summer" successively. The fresh and beautiful Yasuo Fukuda first appeared in the drama "Time", in which he played the daughter of Mataimen. In the movie Under the Blue Sky, Asahi Uchida, a very popular actor in King of Racing, plays Tafu Nakai, the builder of Nara, who is Mataemon's main rival.

Nobunaga was one of the most outstanding figures in the Warring States Period. He conceived the great cause of building Antu City, and was played by the acting school Shiina Kippei. Nobunaga and Matawemen in The City of Fire transcend the simple master-slave relationship, and they recognize each other's abilities, so it can be said that the film has created a brand-new image of Nobunaga.

In addition, the film also assembled many individual actors such as Takuya Ishida, Susumu Terajima, Tar? Yamamoto, K?ichi Ueda, Ken Maeda, Isao Natsuyagi, Miki Mizuno, Mami Kumagai, Taguchi Takashi, Kono Takashi and Shiqiao Lotus.

As a film director, Mitsutoshi Tanaka has directed Makeup Artist and Elves. Yoshi Yokota participated in Tanaka's first two films and continued to work with him as a screenwriter. The first-class behind-the-scenes team consists of the photographer Yoshida Hamada of Blood and Bone, the producer and designer Yoshinobu Nishioka of Dusk Seibee, hide the sword and the Ghost Claw, and the soundtrack Taro Iwashiro of Red Cliff and Orion.

The film started shooting on September 3, 2008, and the shooting cycle was as long as three months. The film crew filmed many scenes around Kyoto, Mukden Fukushima and Taiwan Province Province. In Awaji Island, we rented a shooting venue of 20,000 square meters and built a huge outdoor set. Later, a large number of CG special effects were used, and it took several months.
