What's the difference between a digital camera and a SLR?

The difference between digital camera and SLR: different focal lengths, different prices.

1, different focal lengths

The actual focal length of SLR is larger than that of ordinary digital cameras, that is to say, the same focal length of 135 is equivalent to 50mm, and the actual focal length of APS frame machine is about 35 on all digital cameras of 135.

Ordinary digital cameras are about 10mm, which makes the depth of field of SLR smaller than that of ordinary digital cameras, and it is easier for SLR to send photos with clear foreground, blurred background or clear foreground.

2, the price is different

Because SLR is more expensive and uses more powerful image processing chips, the machine reflection of SLR is much faster than that of ordinary digital cameras. Even now, there is still a certain gap between SLR and ordinary digital cameras.

Imaging principle

It can be seen from the structural diagram of a single-lens reflex camera that the light reaches the reflector through the lens and is reflected to the focusing screen above to form an image. Through the eyepiece and pentaprism, we can see the scenery outside in the observation window. The light passes through the lens and is reflected by the reflector to the frosted viewfinder. Through the convex lens and reflected in the pentaprism, the final image appears in the viewfinder. When the shutter is pressed, the mirror moves in the direction shown by the arrow, and the mirror is lifted, and the image is taken on CCD or CMOS, which is consistent with what is seen on the viewfinder screen.
