Tourism in Hatoyama Island

With the opening of regular ships between Ishigaki Island and Ishigaki Island in April 2006, the number of tourists coming to Hatoyama Island has also increased by leaps and bounds.

The island is the birthplace of the representative "Hattori Festival" of Yaeyama Mountain. From folk songs, Nakamori of Hattori can see the majestic posture of Xibiao Island. The folk song "Sacrifice among Pigeons" in Bazhong Mountain is about climbing into the forest, watching the ships carrying rice and millet coming and going, and celebrating the annual tax payment in the agricultural year.

Every year, during the three-day Harvest Festival held in June and the Hatoyama Island Music Festival held on May 3, many people come to visit the island.

The TV series Rili Island adapted from Moriguchi's book "Children's Desire-The Years of Okinawa Island" (broadcast on NTV in 2005, starring Riko Narumi and Yutai Takeuchi) and the sequel Rili Island スペシャル 2007 (2007).
