The daily life of firemen used to be …

The author's imaginary world

Whenever a fireman proposes to improve the regulation of regular rest, some even the Chief Executive will say that firemen always have regular rest, but they still have sleep time at work, and they don't always work that long, which is already very good.

I believe firemen will almost fly into a rage when they hear this. Many people, like me, are too stressed to sleep. Even if you fall asleep, you will be woken up by the service at any time. Instead of washing their faces and changing clothes slowly before going to work, they must get up at once, get dressed while running 100 meters, run downstairs and get dressed, ask about the service place, jump in the car and walk away. Soon, after a shock and commotion, they will be quiet and attend work at night for no more than 90 seconds. There are also camera surveillance. If the clothes are not up to standard, they will be punished. In the process, there is no time to go to the toilet. Many people fall down before going to work, not to mention driving to the scene in wide fire shoes after going to work. They should face the immediate disaster with the clearest mind, and they will soon have an accident if they don't concentrate.

When I return to the team after the task, I have to fill in a lot of information, write a fire investigation, and take photos on the spot ... After the treatment, I can only wash all the dirty things in three minutes, because you have to wash clothes and equipment when there is service, and then it is dawn, so I won't sleep, because the service starts from 8: 00 to the next day.

You are not allowed to make up sleep during the day, because no one will help you do your job well, because others have their own things, and when you are tired, you will be dragged out by the chief to do heavy training, running and cleaning. They are so busy at night that they think they can have a good sleep, forget to be on duty late at night and have to be rescued after work. Sometimes when I am tired and accidentally doze off on duty, the section chief will come to check the attendance. There is no reason to neglect their duties. Sometimes not being on duty is like winning the lottery, but the biological clock you are used to can't sleep even in bed. At two o'clock in the morning, you just got up and chatted with your colleagues on duty. It turns out that some people are already here, and everyone can't sleep because they are worried about attendance. Sometimes we will buy some supper and have a drink to talk about our service experience. Then the fire alarm comes, and we will be the first to arrive at the scene.

In this way, the life of rest every day continues. On the third day, I had a holiday and couldn't be with my family and girlfriend. Because I fell asleep as soon as I sat down, and I always smelled of burning. I always sleep on the sofa in the living room so as not to dirty the bed in the bedroom. I often wake up in the dark. I finally met my family after dinner. I just exchanged a few pleasantries. I tried not to mention dangerous things for fear that my family would worry. But I can't sleep. Watching fire news alone in the living room late at night. Suddenly, my cell phone rang. "In case of fire, I need emergency support." I put on my coat in a hurry and whispered not to disturb my family. I rushed to the fire, and it was another battle of life and death.

This is my personal life experience for several years. It is no exaggeration. Now the situation in the jurisdiction is better, at least there will be less late-night service, but most foreign firefighters still live that life. Firefighters are heartbroken and have to take care of their families themselves. Firefighters are not allowed to get hurt, because no one can replace you. Firefighters and colleagues spend much more time sleeping together than their wives do at home. Firefighter's children must get used to not seeing their father for a few days.

When I am on duty, I save people. I don't think this is what I should do. If I can't save people, I feel worse than my family. I took the responsibility myself. Due to endless work pressure and bureaucratic repression, senior students are forced to choose to play the fool. On the contrary, young colleagues look down on the laziness of seniors and often quarrel. Firemen's marriages sometimes don't last long. The youngest son in the family will cry when he sees his father, and his wife will help coax the child to say, "This is dad, you forgot." Dad! ",very not easy children are willing to let dad hug, these emotions can only helplessly smile. ~ This is a fireman's daily life.

Young people full of blood devote themselves to fire fighting, practice hard, receive a lot of professional training, and buy a lot of cool equipment at their own expense. Only when I arrived at the detachment did I find that I spent most of my time doing business and complaining. It is inevitable that firefighters finally took to the streets today. Inevitably, the death of firefighters today will arouse grassroots Big bounce. No one can endure this kind of life for a long time. No one wants to be exploited by the Chief Executive without regret. As a fireman, who will pity you if you don't speak for yourself? Now it's just a group of people to equip. Is it too much to ask for more manpower? I asked my wife to show it to me before posting. "Is this correct?" "hmm!" Then, we were silent for several minutes ~ my eyes were red again. )

Editor's note: such a sad confession is the straightforward idea of every unknown hero who protects us at the forefront; As a family member, the most humble thing is to hope that my husband, son and father can come back safely. Editors are the second generation of professional soldiers. When Taipei was flooded and typhoon water poured from the balcony to the second floor of the house, my father still had to go back to the army and his team members to help other neighbors, leaving my mother and our two daughters to clean up. But in any case, we are a family, and we should support these unsung heroes who make us most proud! I hope that * * * can effectively think of the grassroots, so that we can participate with confidence and protect more people in need.
