It's better to use a SLR. It's not a matter of waterproof and antifreeze, but the performance of the machine itself. Go once in a blue moon, don't leave any regrets.

When the machine enters the room, the body temperature is low, and there will be condensed water on the machine, especially on the zoom ring, lens, CMOS and shutter. Once the condensed water appears, it may be permanently damaged after freezing outside, and the condensed water/moisture on the lens will affect the shooting effect at that time, and in severe cases, it may be moldy.

Teach you the most earthy protection method, which is "fresh-keeping bag". Before entering the room from the outside, put the camera in a fresh-keeping bag and seal it. If you want to use the camera indoors, please wait until the camera temperature is the same as the indoor temperature before taking it out of the bag.

In addition: the UV mirror should be used better. Snow has high ultraviolet reflectivity and is easy to explode. At the same time, pay attention to white balance. Also, cover the lens protective cover immediately after shooting to prevent ice and snow.

The tripod is heavier and the snow is softer. Pay attention to stability and protect the equipment.

Have a nice trip and take good photos.
