Why is the sand white?
sand is composed of minerals and tiny rock fragments. Rock fragments are formed by erosion and weathering of rocks. The composition of sand varies from place to place, and the specific situation depends on the source and conditions of local rocks.
in inland (such as desert) and non-tropical coastal (such as beach) environments, the most common component of sand is silicon (SiO2). Usually, silicon exists in the form of quartz stone.
feldspathic sandstone is a kind of sand or sandstone with high content of feldspar (aluminum silicate), which is usually formed by weathering and erosion of nearby granite.
The fine white sand found in coral reefs is aboveground coral (limestone), which can pass through the digestive system of parrot fish.
The sand in some places contains magnetite, clay, chlorite, glauconite or gypsum. Magnetite-rich sand is dark black. Sand containing chlorite and glauconite is generally green. The gypsum dunes in the White Sands National Museum in New Mexico are famous for their white color.
in some areas, the sand layer contains garnet and other corrosion-resistant minerals, such as some gem ores.

Editing the difference in this paragraph
Most of the sand grains are artificially made or artificially polished from some stones. The grains are relatively larger and have a stronger sense of fullness, and the presence of grains can be clearly felt when held in the hand.
the main purpose of making sand is to polish tools, make noise, or use it as a timer.
sand is also ground by stones, but sand grains are polished by the forces of nature for thousands of years, which are extremely fine and soft, and are suitable for being put into some soft articles.
the biggest difference is that sand is divided into different colors, and different kinds are produced in different places. Holding a handful of sand in your hand, you can't feel the existence of particles, but if you take a bath with sand, you can have a quite obvious effect on removing dead skin and smoothing the skin.
