Fengtai District is one of the six major urban areas in Beijing, covering the third, fourth and fifth rings of Beijing. Fengtai District is located in the south of Beijing, bordering Chaoyang District in the east and Dongcheng District, Xicheng District, Haidian District and Shijingshan District in the north.
It borders Daxing District in the southeast. There are many scenic spots in Fengtai District, including Lugou Bridge, Wanping Ancient City, beijing garden expo, World Flower Grand View Garden and Gong Bei National Forest Park.
The main surface river in Fengtai District is Yongding River, which flows from Shijingshan to Daxing District from north to south, about15km long, and divides Fengtai District into two parts.

Low hills and hills are distributed in the north of Houfuying, covering an area of 800 hectares, of which limestone accounts for two thirds. The hills are distributed in Liyuan Village and Dagou Village, with clastic deposition hills in the north and limestone hills in the south.
The platform is located on the west side of Yongding River, between Babaoshan fault and Liangxiang-Qianmen fault. The plain is located in the east of Wang Zuo Township, west of Yongding River, and in Dongheyan, Zhang Guo Village, Changxindian and Zhaoxindian Village, east of Changxindian Township, with a land area of 2,800 hectares. The area bordering the urban area to the north of Liangshui River in the east, 40 meters above sea level, belongs to the alluvial fan high plains of Guyongding River, with an area of 1.400 hectares.
