The photo was taken by professional photographer Charles O'Rear, a native of St. Helena, Napa County, California, for the digital design company HighTurn. O 'lear also worked for Bill Gates' private photo storage company Cobis in Seattle, and he also produced photos of Napa Valley in the May 1979 issue of National Geographic magazine.
