He is the author of ten works, including Yu Hua Ji, Yu Gongbi's Flower and Bird Painting Ji, and Yu the Famous Painter. Yu's meticulous flower-and-bird painting is close to that of Mr. Song Zu in the Five Dynasties. He takes nature as his teacher directly and casts his personal life feelings at the same time. From his flower-and-bird paintings, we can feel the vitality of nature and the high-spirited poetry of the new era. He seldom describes rare exotic flowers and plants, rare birds and animals, but focuses on flowers, fruits, insects and birds that are common in life, giving people a simple and close sense of country. His paintings don't have the seclusion and Jianghu flavor of ancient college paintings. They belong to our new era and people's art after China's entry into WTO. Prosperity, fullness, richness, joy, brilliance, elegance and beauty, verve, liveliness and innocence, and generosity are the keynote and style of colorful flower-and-bird painting after meticulous painting. Reading his paintings is like listening to a colorful passage, or a stringed stringed instrument with stringed strings in Jiangnan. It is a tribute to nature, a tribute to life, a lament for beauty and love, and evokes people's good feelings and noble sentiments of loving life, labor, country and people. Because flowers and birds sing, spring flowers and autumn fruits are a gift from nature, and they are also the green life of the fertile soil of the motherland watered by working people from generation to generation. Painting is a silent poem. In a quiet place, we feel the pulse of the times and hear the voice of artists. This is the ardent childlike innocence of a people's artist. His love for the motherland is so persistent and deep that every painting is full of feelings. Ji grew up in the rural areas of northern Jiangsu, and his family was poor. He did farm work since childhood, which tempered his strong will and habit of loving labor, and also cultivated his deep feelings for nature, flowers, birds, fish and insects. The seeds of art in his heart germinated on this fertile soil and fell in love with painting. Thanks to his efforts, he finally entered the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Normal University at 195 1 and started his artistic journey of herding cowboys. He caught up with the good times and met a good teacher. Mr. Fu Baoshi's profound knowledge of art history and Mr. Chen Zhifo's outstanding achievements in meticulous flower-and-bird painting enabled him to enter the door of traditional painting and chose meticulous flower-and-bird painting as his major. Childhood dreams come true.
