Brief Introduction of Gong Yan Painters

Gong Yan (1926~) was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu. 1958 graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Second College of Fujian Normal University. Member of Jiangsu Photographers Association, director of Jiangsu Watercolor Society, deputy secretary-general of Suzhou Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, member of the Art Steering Committee of Suzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, member of China Poetry Society, member of Suzhou Canglang Poetry Society, member of Suzhou League Literature Society and member of Suzhou Traditional Culture Society. Art works include "Offering Medicine to Mei" and other art photography exhibitions held in Hunan Province, Changsha and Changde. The Flower Girl in Gusu was selected into the Ying Da Painting Collection of China Painting Academy in the 20th century, the watercolor painting Rain Flower Stone was selected into the second watercolor painting exhibition in Jiangsu Province, and the loquat painting was exhibited and collected by the alumni of the 60th anniversary of the Fine Arts Department of Fujian Normal University. The photography work "Family Sideline" was selected in the 9th Photography Art Exhibition of Jiangsu Province, "Mature Loquat" was selected as the cover photo of Jiangsu Scenery, "* * * * Lunch" and "Spring Show Tower Shadow" were selected as the touring exhibition of rural photography art in six southern provinces and cities organized by China Photographers Association, and five photos including "The river is the joy of the morning" participated in the Southern Jiangsu Customs Photography Art Exhibition, which was held in Beijing, Qingdao, Leshan and Yancheng respectively. Biographies have been compiled into Who's Who of Contemporary Art in China, China Photographers Dictionary, etc.
