Maybe many people have been to Kashgar, Xinjiang, but many friends who have been to Kashgar have missed Ta County, whose full name is Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County, which is about 3 kilometers away from Kashgar. Located in the east of Pamirs and the west of Kunlun Mountains, it has numerous natural landforms and mountains, wet land, plateau and other landscapes.

It borders Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, and is close to the western border of China. Tashkurgan means "Stone Town", which is named after a stone ancient city site on the north side of the county seat.

ta county is the main gathering place of tajik ethnic groups in China. there are about 3, tajiks in the county, accounting for about 8% of the local population. Tajik people are courteous and hospitable, regardless of their relatives, young and old, visitors and passers-by, and even their marriage welcomes outsiders and tourists, which has become a highlight of local tourism experience. The Tajik diet belongs to muslim food, mainly consisting of beef and mutton, < P > dairy products and pasta.

Traffic Guide

Because the country of Hongqilafu belongs to the border area, I have to apply for a border defense certificate. The border card can be handled at the domicile or in Kashgar. Kashgar's border defense certificate has been moved to the "Kashgar Regional Tourism Service Center", and I don't want other regions to ask you to go to the border defense brigade. In addition, I can apply for a border card here as long as I carry my ID card.

you don't need a photo or a copy of your ID card. However, the requirements must be used at the same time as the ID card. Because the procedures are simple, there is basically no need to queue up. It may take half an hour in the peak season!

In addition, the public transportation from Kashgar to Taxian County is actually very inconvenient. At present (December 219), there is only one bus every day, and the departure time is very early (about 9: or 1: , which may change, because I didn't go because the ticket is not easy to buy), and the fare is 65 yuan.

since the tickets will be sold out as soon as they come out, I don't recommend that you take the time to grab tickets. Because there are pickup trucks carrying goods going to Ta County at any time. There are usually 1-3 positions.

but the fare is a little more expensive. 9-12/ person, the highest price will be 15 (peak season). However, it takes more than six hours by car, and this price is not expensive.

the advantage of pickup truck drivers is that they will stop to take pictures of you when passing through several scenic places! But after all, it's a black car, so it's best for two people to go together. (The bus address is at the entrance of Chenguang Eden Community, which is what they call the office in Taxian County)

Accommodation and price:

Taxian County is currently affected by the protected area. Although it is rich in mineral resources, it is not allowed to develop industry and agriculture. Only tourism can be developed. Now the whole county is moving towards tourism development to get rid of poverty (it is still a poor county, although it is about to take off its hat, but it is still a poor county in essence). Coupled with the inconvenient transportation, the price in Ta County is still slightly higher at present, but the price is not very outrageous. Accommodation is about 2 yuan (5% off-season)

At present, there are few accommodations in Ta County, and it may be difficult to find a room in peak season. It is recommended to book a hotel or homestay online as soon as possible. It may be troublesome to find it locally (you can find me in Weibo for accommodation problems (I eat too much food), and I know several Tajik homestay owners).

Eat: Xinjiang is a paradise for meat. The kebabs here have a plateau flavor more than those in other areas, but the taste is basically the same. Eating is not only not expensive, but also cheap (basically flush with Kashgar). Because Ta County (Pamir Plateau) can be said to be the only plateau area in Xinjiang, where yak meat is also very famous. There are even homemade specialty yak jerky, which is super delicious.

Another thing to note is that the eating habit here is muslim food, and we basically only eat beef and mutton. The staple food is mainly pasta!

oytak is an ancient Turkic name, which means "depression in the mountains". Located in the small town of Oyitake, Akto County, near Ta County, 12 kilometers from Kashgar, surrounded by snow-capped mountains on the Pamirs.

jincaotan wetland park

is located in the east of Taxian county, adjacent to the Muztag Glacier. It is a national first-class protected wetland
