Introduction of American soldiers raising the national flag on Iwo Jima
Flag Raising on Iwo Jima, also translated as Flag on Iwo Jima and American Flag on Iwo Jima, is a famous American photographic work during World War II. The writer is Joe joe rosenthal, an Associated Press correspondent. This photo shows six American soldiers raising the American flag on Mount Seboko in Iwo Jima. This photo was very popular and immediately became the prototype of many sculptures and paintings, and was imitated by many American movies. It also became the only photo that won the Pulitzer Prize for Photography in the same year (this award was divided into multiple projects in 1968).
