Friends who often go out to paint and sketch come in to help.

It depends on the distance you travel and the means of transportation.

If you are sketching in the suburbs and have a car or a special school bus, you can bring more picture frames. Don't sketch too big. The recommended size is 30×40, and the maximum size is limited to 40×50 (the bigger the painting, the more difficult it is to control and the longer it takes. Don't sketch in one place for a long time, because the skylight and color temperature change quickly, and it is not enough to draw when it is too big, which is a waste. Outdoor sketching became popular in the west after impressionism in the19th century, but in fact, most painters only draw small sketches outdoors. Many people only painted watercolors, and then went back to the studio to enlarge them into a complete creation according to the grass map. Some people paint big paintings directly, all of them have villas in rural areas or scenic spots, and they paint a little at the same time every day for several days, which is not suitable for domestic students to sketch. Generally speaking, it doesn't take long for students to sketch to a place. The transportation method of picture frames and wet oil paintings is relatively simple. The pictures are vertically stacked, with the distance between two adjacent pictures 1 cm, arranged like dominoes (the pictures should be the same size). Starting from the top perpendicular to the picture direction, place a 3 cm wide plywood or fiberboard strip on the edge of all the picture frames, and nail it with leather shoes at the overlap of the strip and each picture frame. Nail two boards on the top, one on each side, and turn the picture over after nailing. The bottom surface is treated like this. In this way, whether the painting is completed or not, it is a whole cuboid, which is convenient for transportation, but needs space. If you take the train or bus, it may affect other passengers, which is more troublesome, so this way is more suitable for short distance or self-driving.

If you have to travel by plane for a long time, and the time to go is short, or you often have to change places, don't use a photo frame. It is recommended to make your own oil painting cardboard. Art shops sell oil painting paper, which is too bad to use, but you can buy a cardboard (thickness 1 mm or more) in the art shop. This kind of cardboard is relatively large in size, usually open or open. You can cut it into the required size yourself. Recommended size 30. The oil painting on paper can be made smaller, but the 30×40 cardboard can be divided into two parts by directly sticking a transparent rubber strip in the middle, and it will be cut into two small paintings after taking it home. After cutting, brush the cardboard with commercially available primer (or homemade primer) once, and you can use it. Because this kind of cardboard is relatively thick, the deformation is not serious after priming. It can be flattened after drying and is durable. You can use the plastic folder (A3) to carry cardboard. If you want one that can insert pages, make cardboard and choose a folder according to the number you want to draw (the folder is divided into 20 pages, 30 pages and 40 pages). When drawing paper, you can insert it in the pocket of the folder, and insert a piece of cardboard on each page. Don't insert it when you come back. The oil painting won't dry thoroughly in a short time, and you can take it away when the surface is dry. Just put it in a clip and separate the two paintings with a pocket (you can't take it out if you put it in a bag). If you are afraid that some works will not work, you can bring one or two frames of stretched cloth slightly larger than cardboard (or just nail cardboard on one side of the frame), so that wet oil paintings can be attached to the back of the frame, and a pair of two frames will become a box, which can protect two paintings and is very convenient to use.

This is the case with sketches. Even foreign painters who specialize in landscape painting rarely plunge into a distant and unfamiliar place like domestic universities (usually remote and backward, which is inconvenient for everyone) and waste paint and time with countless huge frames. In any case, oil painting is still the work of the studio, most of the works are done in the studio, and the outdoor collections are generally small drafts (mostly on paper). Even oil painters, many people like to use watercolor or propylene as sketches. Painting is to show people and let people appreciate the scenery in your painting, not to prove to others that you have suffered, not to mention that it is difficult for people who torture themselves in the wild with big canvases to enjoy the effect of painting.
