Introduction of Notre Dame in Jinci

Maid Map of Notre Dame de Jinci, painted sculpture, made in Yuan You period of Northern Song Dynasty, about 1082. It is located in Notre Dame de Jinci, 25 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan. There are more than 40 colored sculptures in the hall of Notre Dame, all of which were works of the Northern Song Dynasty. The Madonna sits in the middle position, 2.28 meters high, embroidered with robes, dignified in shape, surrounded by many female officials and maids. Their movements and postures are different, and their demeanor and personality are vividly portrayed. They are the best group of figures in Jinci colored sculptures.
